Excellent YA book ** I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review** Kaavl Conspiracy was my first experience reading Ms. Green’s books. And it was a very pleasant surprise. I don’t ordinarily read YA but this one sounded good enough so I decided to give a try. I’m glad I did it! Regardless of the group age that the author aimed for with this book, it is a solid read, with interesting and believable characters. I mean, who doesn’t relate to a character who says she’s learning from past mistakes only to make a similar one. Right? Not to mention the supporting characters. I know this is only book one in a series of four parts so who’s to say if these characters will remain as supporting ones only. But as of now, they’re just perfectly fleshed-out. As with any good Fantasy book, this one’s based on a totally different world but the author sets it up quite well with many details and we feel like we know it already, which makes it easier to navigate the book. To be honest, some readers may find the beginning of the book a little boring as the author depicts the world and builds the plot setting for the next installments of the story. Finally, the action scenes are quite well-written and will keep you turning the pages to learn how the story unfolds. Kudos I recommend Kaavl Conspiracy to anyone looking for a light read but not one where you need to get read of your own brain in order to be able to enjoy it.
This book is different than most books I typically read, but it kept my attention, and has me wondering what will happen in book two.
