I rated this book 5 stars because it held me from page one. I was right there with the characters, and I experienced everything they did. A good book is one that holds you from page one, it it makes you smile, cry, and makes your heart pound with desire for more of the story. This book did exactly that!

I was given Kasadya:Hellhound Awakened read for an honest review. I really liked the story it was a fun mature YA read. I had a little trouble getting through sections and found myself going back to re-read so I can make sense of what I was reading. The narration jumps back and forth between 3rd person and 1st person and can be a little bit confusing at times. That aside... the actual story it's self was very addicting. I found myself finishing Kasadya:Hellhound Awakened in just a couple hours to see what happens, I also bought Kasadya Hellhound Twisted shortly after finishing because book one ends so suddenly at such a great part... I need to know. As the story follows Kas, a young girl born into a life of eternal anguish, you watch her mature and accept her fate and make the best of it. I love the growth and change of views and attitude she acquires. Kas seems to have everything, supportive friends, a hot guy on her arm... and the hottest... meanest trainer and a demon invading her dreams. I recommend this book as a great fun little read.

I usually love books that are published by the Anchor Group, and purchased this one during one of their sales. I bumped it up on my TBR list when my book club decided to read it. Honestly, demons are not usually my thing, but I found myself engrossed in this story once it got going. Kasadya has a lot to learn about being a hellhound - all of her powers, how to fight, and whom to trust in this new world. She makes some mistakes along the way that can be very costly, but is a fun kick-ass heroine. The book is action-packed and ends in a cliffhanger! The writing as far as the storytelling got better and better as the book continued. My biggest complaint is a problem with grammatical mistakes throughout the book. Sometimes they detracted from the story, though I tried hard to overlook them for the story itself. I love the story and want to read the next book for that reason.

Disclaimer: I received an e-copy in exchange for an honest review. Kasadya is a hellhound, and she must learn to accept that part of her. Hellhounds are the strongest, created by God to cast down the demons of the world, but it's not an automatic ability. That means going to a school for the supernatural, training with a Custos to build her strength and powers, and fighting the demons of the world to protect the human race. However, it's a lot more difficult than she thought it'd be, and after her first day of training, she's completely drained. Her Custos, Chax, is the best, according to practically everyone around her, but he's tough on her in every way, delivering brutal training sessions and sometimes harsher words to fuel her fire. Eventually, bad things happen, as they always do, and Kasadya must learn on the fly to survive and thrive in the demon world, before she loses her head, literally. This book was fantastic; so many supernatural elements, various magical beings, and a ton of background on how their world and their fight came to be what it is today. As the story progressed, I was drawn into Kasadya's world, putting myself right alongside her through the training sessions, the classes, and ultimately her time with demons. She becomes an extremely strong character, and by the ending, I could tell this is going to be a wild series. Can't wait to read the next one! 5 stars

Geez are you looking for a book that is action packed that will have your emotions rolling? Do you want a book that will have you qeustioning every move Kasadya the hellhound will do!!! This book tells a story of undercover warriors that were put in earth by God to repent from mistakes their ancestors have made in order for an opportunity to go to heaven. You find warriors hunting demons and you see that humans are also helping. This book is about choices Kasadya has to take at such a young age and as we all know sometimes we have to do mistakes in order for everthing to fit in place. I won't put a summary of the book because I stink at summarizing but this story will keep you at your feet. I finish the book in two days and I was happy to know there was a second book already out. I went ahead and bought it at 1am in ther morning and read till 3am and went to bed to finish the book now. This book is just freakin awesome

I recieved this book for a honest review from the author. Kasadya or Kas is a Fallen even though she didn't really know she was until she is told by her parents. She has to redeem herself and all the other hellhounds who came before her. She can have no human friends or interact with them. Of course as a 16 year old girl she is pissed about this. She is sent to Hellhouse to train with other Fallen creatures. There she is taught to transform into her hellhound self and taught to fight by Chax and taught that she is to save human and kill demons. While she is there she also makes friends with the other Fallen creatures. She hadn't been there long when she and another fallen are taken by Demons and she is told she must fight or she and her friend will die. So she fights other demons till she is saved a long time later. She has become stronger and harder after her time trapped with the demons and makes a few mistakes when she is rescued. Some that may lead to horrible things for her and her new found friends the humans. I truly loved and enjoyed this book. It is about different kinds of Fallen some you never get to read much about. I loved the authors take on Hellhounds. Usually they are seen as large dogs nope not here. Kas is an incredible character that sticks in your mind. No matter what is thrown at her she stands up and faces it. The other characters introduced in this book are just as incredible. You get fae, vampires, werewolves, harpys and so much more. I kept thinking I wanted Kas to end up with one guy but after reading the whole book I want her with someone different. I won't say who my pick is as this really isn't a love story so far. It is more about action and watching a girl become the hellhound and woman she is meant to be. This is an amazing start to what I hope is a series. The author knows how to drag you in and make you want more. I eagerly look forward to the next book. Pick this up if you want a different paranormal creature to read about and an incredible story.
