Published in 1915, Kasba is a fascinating story of Chipewya and Eskimo life in the Hudson Bay area. It centers around a young woman named Kasba, or White Partridge, who is trying to gain her independence from her family. The book includes adventures of survival; customs, friendships and love among the native peoples; and, the Native People's interaction with the Hudson Bay Company.
