What do you do when your world explodes...run. Levi has been running for a decade and now he's tired. He goes home finally and meets two young ladies that blow him away. He falls in love with one and in lust with the other one. His family is not exactly ecstatic to see him. Then circumstances spin out of control again pulling him and his family and new loves into a mess from the past. This is an interesting story about the sins of the father revisited. And being able to hopefully cope with your past so that it done interfere with your present and future. Enjoy I did.

than I thought it would be. I liked Levi, but I do not like the brother Mason, and assuming there is another book regarding this third brother, I'll pass on it.

I love Eliza Gayle's writing. I loved this series so far but from what I've read on Goodreads the third book in this series leaves much to be desired.

**Book received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review** This book had everything I look for in a book in this genre. It had steamy sex scenes, humour and suspense. Although the book has a BDSM theme, this is not what the book is about and that is a big bonus. The BDSM is written as a sexual preference for the characters rather than the book solely being around what `BDSM scenes' can be told in detail. I love the way the suspense is written into the storyline and the fact that you were kept guessing through the book as to what would happen next. I loved being able to try and piece things together page by page and you literally do page turn with this book. I was slightly disappointed in the way that the situation with Bill was dealt with and I would have loved that to have been expanded on. The characters are real and so easy to connect with; they could be your own friends. The emotions that the characters experience are palpable and you find yourself sitting there with tears in your eyes or your own heart pounding in response to what the characters are feeling. The book takes you in to its reality and leaves you with a book hangover and eagerly anticipating the next book in the series. That's another thing I love about this book is that it drops subtle hints as to other storylines that can and hopefully will be picked up in another book. I am a big fan of alternative POV's in a book and there are a few in this book. It's not often and not enough alternates to confuse the reader.

Having read the first book in this series, I was quite interested in the second book. Apparently there are several other books set in or around Purgatory prior to this particular series. Based on the strength of these first two books, I may well have to go look up the others. Levi is a man haunted by his past. He is one of several sons of a notorious evangelist who bilked the public and has spent his lifetime trying to avoid that legacy, traveling the globe, joining the Marines, etc. Finally though he decides to go home and that’s when he runs into Tori and her adorable daughter. I’m not a big fan of kids in books because a lot of the time they serve no purpose in the plot other than to be adorable moppets but they’re not really important to the story. In this case, the daughter was because of her repulsive father who ends up trying to kidnap her in order to blackmail Levi and his brothers. Tori is a strong woman. She knows she is submissive, yet acts as a Domme at Purgatory. Levi of course isn’t fooled by that and from the very first scene at Purgatory, wowser, I needed a fan. There was some hot action in this book, and it didn’t even lead to consummation in the early sections of the book. Yeesh. Poor Levi. Sucks to be him at times, but he was on the right path, going home to face down what he’s spent his lifetime running from. He’s a good man, despite what some might think instinctively just because he’s got some tattoos. Tori certainly didn’t mind the tatts. Heh. So, yeah. I loved this book and I liked getting to see the couple from the first book continuing on in their relationship. I hope the third one comes out soon! Total 4-star rating here. Book provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Loved reading Levi and Catori's story. Filled with family drama, passion, love and other emotions. Eliza Gayle did it again. Can't wait for Mason's story.

Eliza Gayle's Masters of Purgatory series is positively sizzling. From the very beginning, Ms. Gayle captivates her readers. This is one intense, passionate and HOT read! Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Loved it! I have to say that this series just keeps getting better! Levi is so haunted by his past that he has spent the last decade living an isolated aimless life, but he is ready to make a change by finally coming home. When he arrives, he is charmed by a 5 year old Hannah and her intriguingly beautiful mother Tori who has some dark secrets of her own. These two scorch the pages with their chemistry, and Levi is one sexy sweet Dom. Some pieces of the puzzle get revealed, but many more questions remain. Just know that the past is coming back full force for these Purgatory Masters, and you are definitely in store for a surprise.

Not 50 Shades but it was a good read.  Not sure if I have the desire the to read book three when it comes out.   It pretty much predictable.
