Lost on the Water
Dannie never meant to get lost in the middle of a huge lake in rural Tennessee, at night, stuck in a leaky rowboat that just might be haunted by a boy who drowned over thirty years ago.

She's 14-year-old, sporty Californian girl, who has to spend two weeks with her grandma while her parents take a vacation to France. She's certain it will be the most boring summer of her life until she runs into some local boys. The guys mistake Dannie for a boy and invite her to join them for their annual boys only kayaking trip and campout on an island in the middle of Center Hill Lake. She's desperate to go. Of course, her grandma won't let her because Dannie's not a boy, but Dannie also suspects her grandma is afraid of the lake for some reason and won't tell her why. So, her only choice is to sneak off in a rowboat she finds hidden behind the shed. It seems like a simple solution, until everything goes wrong.

An adventure begins as Dannie struggles to find her new friends, uncovers an old family secret, and tries to survive a scary night on the water.
