This was the 2nd tale in the Rock Royalty series- romance stories about the children of the fictional rock band the Velvet Lemons. In this story, the "girl next door", Alexa Alessio, falls for bad twin, Bing Maddox, when he agrees to be her wedding event escort. I enjoyed this story more than the first one in the series - nice to see some of the recurring characters. Still on the trashy side of romances, but very hot sex scenes! Thanks to CR's California Girls for the copy of this book.

Bing's the bad boy, Alexa's the good girl? This is the second of Christie Ridgway’s Rock Royalty series with Bing Maddox and Alexa Alessio. Bing and Brody Maddox the twin sons of Mad Dog Maddox of the famed rock group Velvet Lemons (crazy name) and brothers to Cilla from the first book. Brody is the guy next door/best friend for Alexa, Bing is so NOT the guy next door, but he is the one that makes Alexa go ‘zing’ when he’s near. Alexa’s cousin is getting married, to Alexa’s former finance and she’s not happy about that and the fact that parts of her dream wedding plans were also ‘stolen’ by her cousin. Alexa inadvertently brings up the wedding and asks Brody to be her escort, but to her surprise it was actually Bing not Brody she was talking to. As she tries to back pedal as fast as she can, Bing decides he’s not going to let her and all of a sudden he’s hanging around all the time. The story progresses with Bing and Alexa running the gamut of all the emotions and experiences. I really like Christie’s style and her stories are truly entertaining. I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. Thanks Christie Ridgeway for another great story

Love that the stories of "the nine" goes on. The characters are complex and tortured and need partners that are strong enough to break through. I like the fact each book is long enough to get through a complete story and short enough to hold our attention.

What a fun series. These are the stories of The Velvet Lemons children who were raised in the member’s compound by a groupie named Gwen. Each of these nine children has a story that wants to be told. Each person also has issues from their somewhat off the wall lifestyle and Ms. Ridgeway is here to tell their stories. This is the second story Love Her Madly. It takes on Bing and Alexa’s (Lex) journey. Alexa lived next door and became best friends with Bing’s twin brother Brody. Alexa has always dealt with weight issues and a good girl image while Bing has a big commitment issue. He likes those one night stands. They are brought together because Alexa needs a date for her ex’s wedding to her cousin…are you still with me? Personally I wouldn’t attend especially since he cheated on Alexa with her cousin. But, I guess we each do what we have to. This was another very sexy, steamy and hot read. Ms. Ridgeway gave us the POV from both Bing and Alexa which was smooth and easy to follow. It is interesting flipping back and forth. The chemistry was there from the beginning but Bing had issues with Alexa’s good girl image. Alexa even though she struggled with her past she was able to grab onto her inner strength and show Bing that she could be a little bit bad for the right person. I think she actually liked it. Being able to let go… I liked these two as they proved that there is always hope when you find your match along with showing that everyone has battles that they have to overcome and we should never assume too much. Ms. Ridgeway once again made characters that were easy to relate too with real issues that we all face. I really enjoyed Bing and Alexa’s journey. I also enjoy how the rest of the characters are woven into the stories so that we get to know them before the next story. They become family this way making them more realistic.

What a great story. It is really sad what happens to the kids of the famous rock groups. You have to read the story to find out what I am talking about. :)

Alexa is best friends with Brody, but she really wants to be more than friends with Brody's twin, Bing. Bing is attracted to Alexa, but she is too sweet for a bad boy like him. He is a love em and leave em kind of guy. Alexa needs a date to her cousin's wedding. Her cousin is marrying Alexa's ex-fiancée and she doesn't want everyone to pity her. Bing volunteers. Bing has some bad stuff in his past and doesn't think he is worthy of someone like Alexa. He couldn't be more wrong.

Very Good Book California Rolling Stone magazine once dubbed the nine collective children of the most famous band in the world “Rock Royalty,” years ago. All the princes and princesses are coming back to L.A.’s Laurel Canyon now that they are all grown up. They are also trying to discover if love can be found among the ruins of their childhoods that was steeped in sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll. Bing Maddox is the “bad twin”. Alexa Alessio is his brother’s BFF and Bing has wanted her for months but he has stayed away because of his jaded soul and because she is too hearts-and-family. He has buried his guilt after a good deed turned to a dark regret. Since then he has also had a series of forgettable flings with women that want nothing more than some fun. He gives into his urges when Alexa needs a plus one for some upcoming wedding events. As he pursues her he goes all out to get her into his bed. Alexa Alessio was being smart and keeping herself separate from Bing who is seen-everything, done-everything and wildly sexy then somehow she is suddenly agreeing to letting Bing be her date. She wants back-up as her cousin marries Alexa’s stolen ex but Bing has made it clear he wants her in his bed. Her common sense tells her that with Bing being commitment-phobic when he moves on her heart will be broken even if her heart is saying yes. Now she is going to have to see if she can hold him after having him. This is proving to be a very interesting and good series. Seeing how the different “Rock Royalty” goes about finding their happy ever afters when they never thought they could have one let alone would even want one makes for some great reading. The characters are engaging and seeing them overcome their pasts to find the happiness they have a chance at pulls the reader in and will have readers hoping each one of the Rock Royalty finds lasting happiness. While the first two books can be read as stand alones the stories are much better if they are read in order.

I was introduced to the Rock Royalty series when I purchased Light My Fire (Book #1) from Amazon. I had read Christie Ridgway in the past and figured I would check the series out. Enjoyed it so much I knew I had to read Love Her Madly (Book #2). The thing that I enjoy most about this series is that the assumption that these characters live charmed lives is way off base. They have faults and have to face obstacles like everyone else. Bing has been labeled as the "bad twin" so long, he sees himself that way. Jumping from bad choice to sticky situations, it is almost as if he deems himself unworthy of love and happiness. Alexa is his one weakness. She has always held his heart. Alexa has the loving family that Bing has always dreamed of but she doesn't feel like she can measure up to the expectations of others. It is interesting that neither sees it, but they are the guiding light in the each others world. Love Her Madly is a magnificent story of pain, redemption and the healing power of love.

This is a ‘one-clicker’, no hesitation! (I did receive a free copy of this story for an honest review) If you enjoyed Ridgway’s Light My Fire, then Love Her Madly is a no brainer purchase. Bing Maddox is HAWT!! The second book in the Rock Royalty series focuses on Rock Prince, Bing Maddox, twin of Brody (also hot, but this is not his story, lol) and brother to Cilla who was the heroine in Light My Fire. Bing is the ‘bad twin’, the one who refuses to play any other role with women other than an understood he’s only looking for good times. Like the other children of the rock band, Velvet Lemons, Bing has bad memories of his childhood, including his one failed attempt to being a white knight to a friend. He is just as scarred as the others and does not see it in his DNA to hold a serious relationship. Alexa Alessio is Bing’s brother’s BFF and she’s held a secret crush on Bing for as long as she’s known him. However, she is well aware of how painful love can be and is doing her best to keep her distance from Bing. Karma prevails, however, and Alexa needs a fake boyfriend to attend wedding festivities with her and none other than trouble himself steps forward to help. Mix in a meddling Italian family and the rest of the Velvet Lemon tribe and you’ve got one fun read! I loved this second book, probably more than the first as Bing pretty much refuses to let anyone focus on anything other than him. I didn’t finish this in one sitting, but my mind definitely stayed on the story. The background to these Velvet Lemon kids is such a story in itself and makes you want to know more about what they went through and empathize with their relationship struggles. (Not a spoiler, but reading this book will definitely have you wanting Brody’s story, too.) I am hooked! This can be read as a standalone, but you’ll then want to go back and read Ren and Cilla’s story, just cause….

Once again Ms. Ridgeway knocks it out of the ballpark with the prince's of rock. A bad boy to the bone "Bing" and sunshine and lollipops "Lex" are such opposites that their relationship just doesn't have just bumps it has mountains!! But M's. Ridgeway's talent to evoke gut wrenching guilt and shame with words and smoldering erotic passion make reading these stories like a sneak peek behind the stories in the "Enquirer"....can't wait for book three of the "Rock Royalty"!

Let me start by saying I have loved all of the books by Ms. Ridgway that I have read! I always enjoy a series about different members of a family where you still get glimpses into characters from past books. This is the case with the children of the fictional rock group The Velvet Lemons. Alexa and Bing's story grabbed me from the first chapter and held on to me until I finished the book!!!! My favorite kind of read!!!! I had to admit I really disliked the cousin who was marrying Alexa's ex. But the rest of her family added layers to the story. And the fact that they ran a bridal boutique just added to the romanticism of this book! I will continue to purchase Christie Ridgway's books as she is one of my favorite authors!!!!
