From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff Comes the Story of Mack, a Continuation of the King Trilogy

MY NAME IS MACK. And if I play my cards right, I will soon be dead. Permanently. Not even my powerful twin brother will be able to resurrect me. A good thing. Because a man like me has no business living. Not when I have killed. Not when I have betrayed everyone I have ever cared for. Not when I know I'm destined to do it again.

This is why I have come looking for her-the only one capable of ending me once and for all. But will she think I'm just another insane patient? Or will she believe the truth? I am thousands of years old, my heart too dark to be salvaged.
MY NAME IS TEDDI, short for Theodora. My entire life has been a canvas of grays, whites, and black. I can't feel, I can't understand joy, I've never truly lived. Until now. His name is Mack, and though he believes he's cursed, my degree in psychology tells me otherwise. Besides, someone who's capable of bringing so much light into my life can't be anything but good.

But I can save him. If he'll let me.

Outstanding, thrilling, exciting, captivating sequel to the King Trilogy by the phenomenally, talented author, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. *ARC Review* Theodore, nicknamed Teddi, is the new director of the Mental Health Treatment Center. The mysterious patient, Mack, in room 25 checked himself in, paid for three months, and wants to be left alone. Teddi is irresistibly drawn to the man in room 25 and wants to help him even though she is experiencing strange feelings and emotions. Mack wants Teddi to end his life before Mack's brother, King ends Teddi's life. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written engaging love story of Mack and Teddi. Can't wait for the next sequel of the King Trilogy with King, Mia, Mack, and Teddi!

I am a huge fan of Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s books and after reading Mack, I am in love. King was ok (it does help to read the King books first), but Mack is melt-in-your-shoes swoon-worthy. Sure he’s dark and brooding and immortal and totally lovable – whether he knows it or not. This book was so hard to put down. The characters are two completely tortured souls that need each other more than they know. It’s as if Theodora was born to belong with Mack. It will captivate you from beginning to end. I am eagerly waiting for more in this series.

Mack is book four in The King Trilogy by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by the author. I’m not sure what I expected with this book. This is a dark series so I expected that. But somehow Mimi Jean still found a way to shock me. I literally gasped out loud. I think my hand even flew over my mouth! So does this make her the master of authors? Or the master of torture? I’ll let you decide. This is the story of Mack. In book three, we learned exactly who Mack really is, but now we get his story. What happened to him when Mia made him run over three thousand years ago? His tale wasn’t a good one. He did find love, only to have it stolen away from him, and for him to be forced to endure his own curse, a curse that would make him a monster. Theodora Valentine or Teddi was always smart, way ahead of her classmates. Now, with her PHD in Psychology, she has been hired as director of a private mental hospital. Teddi has a knack for being able to diagnose patients almost immediately. But emotionally, she is void. She doesn’t feel at all. Nothing. It’s her first day of work at her new job. As she is reviewing patient files, she comes across a John Doe that just walked in and checked himself in. He just sits in his room in the dark, seemingly waiting for something. If this man is refusing treatment, then they could use his room for someone else, so she decides to visit the man herself. One look into those piercing blue eyes, and the flood gates open. All the emotions she never felt come rushing in. “Overnight I’d gone from being a person who lived in a world defined by logic, to a person living in a world where logic was completely useless.” Mack claims they share a history that spanned the centuries. But Teddi is convinced these are the ravings of a diseased mind. But how can she explain these sudden changes she is experiencing? Or what of the dreams? He claims that she is the only one that can end the curse by ending his life. But glimpses into the past they shared has made her realize that she can’t give him up. She has to find a way to save him. “My brain barely knew this man, but my heart did. And everything about him made me want to fight tooth and nail to keep him.” This is the story of a love that was so strong that it refused to die, century after century. But it’s not just Mack and Teddi’s story. We still get plenty of King. In true Mimi Jean Pamfiloff fashion, she leaves us hanging yet again. She says that there is one final chapter to be told in this tale. That Mack and King will finally have to face off in the final book, The Ten Club, due out later this year. So, did I love this book? Yes, I most definitely did. I suspect I am going to need some recovery time from having been immersed in this world for the last few days while reading all four books back to back. But I have loved every minute and every page of it. So I suggest you start at the beginning and meet King, Mia, Mack and later, Teddi. Buckle your seat belts because you are in for a wild ride. Hold on tight.

I loved the previous books in this series but this one seemed extremly rushed even the characters didn't seem the same especially king. Also 3.99 for 184 pgs is aggravating. Mack deserved better than this rushed story. I had to force myself to finish this book and only because I want to reaad the next one which hopefully is better.

Mimi has done it again people, she takes us back into King's world, there's twists and turns and some very steamy, hot scenes! I couldn't put it down, and now I want to read it again!! Enjoy ;)

I could have loved this book, but Mimi just had to go and mess with Mia & King. I hate, hate, hate cliff hanger endings, but did get caught up in the KING series and was so glad they had a HEA. But in this book it is like Mimi totally disregarded all they went through to tell Mack's story. I was really looking forward to seeing what happened to Mack and was even in it if it became another trilogy, but after seeing all the angst of the first three novels pushed aside for this one, I don't know if I will continue on or not!

Let's begin with, I MUST go back and read the first three books in this series. I am in some serious LUST over here. I can certainly get behind a hottie. Even if he is troubled, thousands of years old, a twin, and want to end it all. Did I leave out anything. Well. . .

I cannot believe this book! Let me just say that after reading this book I fell in love with Mack, he is definitely one of my favorite characters! Why did King have to die though? Man now I am going to have to wait until fall for that series ending!
