Mehfil

'Mahfil' is a book of Hindi poetry. The dominant theme of the book is

Love, betrayal and consequent frustration. The sub-themes are

hardships in life, sad awareness of momentariness of life and

almost every other thing. Some poems hint at the shortcomings in

our vision of life that gives rise to strife's in the name of ethnicity

and other differences. Nevertheless, the picture of life is not cloudy.

There is Faith in God 'the Almighty.'
