Melody of the Heart 5 Star Review As everyone prepares for Rhys and Allison’s wedding Bray and Lily are interviewed by Rolling Stone magazine. This is their story. Not all relationships are built on hearts and flowers. Some struggle with demons, some with infidelity while others struggle with fame. For Brayden Vanderburg fame almost cost him the love of his life, his soul mate, his first in so many ways. His first dream was snatched away at his high school football game then fate stepped in and gave him new direction…music. Lily Gregson was caught stealing apples on the Vanderburg farm and it’s that incident that cemented their future. Lily’s dream, a school teacher, working with children, little did she know that one day, one of her own would need the nurturing of her experience. Lily and Brayden’s story is just another reason I keep reading Katie Ashley novels. She teases you with steamy love scenes then has you crying when you least expect it. One scene in Vegas (no spoiler) brought back a character I adored and I’m glad the tissues were nearby. I was shocked by the violent and heat breaking event (again no spoiler) that reunited Brayden and Lily. I’m relieved the author didn’t elaborate on Lily and Brayden’s year apart, his less than faithful period when drugs and alcohol consumed him. I didn’t want the play by play of him, prick dipping. To me he is the ultimate family man, husband and father, that’s how I want to remember him as not a douche bag rocker. It’s hard when a series you love ends, I enjoyed Jake the man-whore, AJ, the Latino lover, Rhys, the southern gentleman and Brayden, my hero, the boy wonder who was able to achieve it all. When one series ends, another begins and 2015 is promising new series with new genres. It’s going to be a good year!

I love this story just like I do the rest of the series but I just don't think I could be so forgiving right away. What happened 2 Lily was horrible but she forgave way 2 fast!! Yes it's a love story but it could have been resolved realistically.

Out of all four books I think Brayden and Lily's story is my favorite. Beautifully written and a wonderful love story.

I love the whole series although I don't love any one more than the other yet I have to say this one gives you something to aspire in your marriage or at least wish and pray for, thank you for that

What a great ending to this series. I have loved watching all the couples grow together. I just wish Brayden wasn't such a jerk to lily back when the band was taking off. And really 30 to 40 women!!!! That was a little much. I felt like the author lost me a little there. It kind of turned me off the story, i felt really dissappointed.

I loved all the books in this series but this was by far my favorite but oh, how i cried during it. Their story was emotional, heartbreaking and joyous all at once. The perfect ending to this series. My only complaint and it is a little one is the age think. They meet at 16, talk about being together after 5 year, which makes them 21 than a year later they get engaged at 22. But then he is saying he is 23 when he sees his parents, 24 when he goes after Lily and then back to 22 when she gets pregnant after 7 months of marriage almost 2 years after the proposal. Very hard to keep it straight but by my calculatons they should be 36 or 37 at the time of the interview not 34. Not sure if these are typos or not. It is just a minior thing but I really pay attention when I read.

Another great book about Runaway Train. Loved Brayden & Lily's love story & how it all came together.

It was great to finally read about how Brayden and Lilly met and became a couple.  They were together since they were 16 and, when stardom hit, Brayden changed.  Lilly had to stay strong and then a tragic event happened that had her needing Brayden in her life.  Brayden had to atone for his behavior and it was very interesting how he still felt about it years later.  Nice to see how all of the guys had grown since the early days. It was great to have the wrap up of the final Runaway Train couple getting married and how it all came full circle.  A great read and nicely done.

WOW how do I write a review for the final book in one of the best series I have ever read? Book 4 in the “Runaway Train” series “Melody of the Heart” was amazing! What a brilliant idea for Katie Ashley to go back to the beginning where it all began to tell the amazing love story of Lilly and Brayden! Lilly and Brayden are the core married couple who often times are the voice of reason for the other couples in the “Runaway Train” romances. In Book 1, they are already married, so we have never been privy to their love story until now! Their journey of love is filled with laughter, tears, surprise and great happiness. I so enjoyed reading their love story as it truly completed this amazing series. Also in this book, we are treated to the wedding of Allison and Rhys, the amazing couple from Book 3 of this series. I am so sorry to see this wonderful story conclude, but am looking forward to Katie’s new series “Jacob’s Ladder” in 2015!! Please write fast Katie!!!

I thought i loved the other books.inthis series but...this one is ny far the best. I love how honest caring and strong lilly was. You allowed her to set a good examlpe for young women today. She didnt put up with being treated poorly. I loved when being called a ho she knew her self worth and the need to walk away to maintain her integrity. I cried at that point and couldnt stand braden. It took most of the book to have any good feelings for his character. I hope this series cintinues...i truly have fallen in love with these characters, like family.
