Was looking foreard to this one, but I cant read it on either my simple reader or my nook tablet. Each paragraph seems to be on a LONG single line which gets cut off at the right side of the screen.

This is a prize winning tale in the Vorkosigan series, but this e- book cannot be read. I had to buy it from Amazon, which I dislike because of weird pagination on Kindle and battery life sucks compared to Nook Simple Touch. It is by far my favorite e-book reader. Besides, who knows long term if lighted screens with a shiny reflective glass might not be harder on the eyes compared to Nook Simple Touch. Even if you do not have a Kindle you can get the app free for your Windows PC or Android device. About the book. This one gives all kinds of character changes and developements for lead character Miles, his brother Mark, Captain Bel Thorne and his Imperial Security boss Simon Illyan. I have read and re-read this whole series and also the Curse of Chalion series which is in a somewhat heavier vein but really good also. The other Nook e- books from this author seem to be OK but they are filing under McMaster instead of Bujold.

In an epic, swashbuckling series this story is a cool breeze and makes me love the characters all the more. Rereading the whole series now and couldn't wait for this book.

This is an illegal copy of this book which is being published by Baen Books. This is theft.

The whole Vorkosigan Series is a very entertaining series which I have now read twice. Easy to read and well written.

Lois McMaster Bujold writes great books, and this is one. Miles, goes from disgrace to saving the world (again :) ), by being his usual twisty hyperactive git self. Great book

This is a great book but you need to read the earlier books in the series to understand it. This is my favorite in the series. Even though I own the HC, I also bought it as a Nook book. I was worried about the format so I pulled it up to read in the store. The format is fine.

Though I am only fifteen years of age, I have read every Bujold book about Miles Vorkosigan (with the exception of Falling Free). Memory is a masterpiece and the best book I have ever read. While trying to discover and reclaim himself (not the space mercenary or the Vor Lord people want him to be) Miles also has to save the Barrayarian Empire ... as usual. The characterization is wonderous and the supporting cast provide the perfect backdrop. A triumph.

This is my favorite vorkosigan book.
