Most Helpful Customer Reviews
A friend wanted this book for her birthday so I headed to Barnes and Noble to purchase the book for her as a gift. There is no reason to buy this book, even if you are rushed for time, baking with children, whatever the case may be, this book is a ridiculous waste of money. Recipe after recipe using cake mixes, packages of pudding and other pre-packaged ingredients filled with preservatives and chemicals. If you wish to make a quick cake there are countless recipes available using the same number of ingredients but eliminating the need for pre-packaged mixes filled with preservatives and artificial ingredients. If, for whatever reason, you love using packaged mixes, there are better recipes available from the manufacturer of the products, often found on the side of the box or the website and the recipes are always free. Paying for this book is a ridiculous waste of money. I purchased this book as a gift but after looking through the awful recipes and sad ingredient lists I returned it and found a much better option. There are some really wonderful cake cookbooks available, sadly, this isn't one of them. Zero stars would be a fitting rating. Don't bother.
