Moon Kissed by Donna Grant

BROUGHT TOGETHER BY CHANCE
For years, Addison Moore worked herself ragged to achieve her goals. Close to earning her degree, the contents of a shocking letter rip her world to shreds. In an attempt to forget, she wanders into a bar, unknowingly changing her life forever. Suddenly she's surrounded by the supernatural she thought only myth and stalked by an evil priestess intent on her death. Her only chance is with an enigmatic man who makes her want to forget everything just to be in his arms.

BOUND TOGETHER BY CIRCUMSTANCE
Myles LaRue was content owning a bar and hunting evil in the French Quarter. He wasn't looking for love, especially after the tragedy his family had already experienced. But when the exquisite Addison Moore walks into his life, he can't help but be charmed. Despite the dangers surrounding them, Myles comes to one conclusion - against the odds they found each other, and now that they have, he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 1/2 REVIEW:  Addison Moore is at the end of her rope. A random chance of walking into Gator Bait is about to change her whole world. If it is for the good or the bad that is yet to be determined.  Myles LaRue has had no interest in getting involved with anyone for any reason. But the minute that Addison walked through the doors of Gator Bait, Myles was completely and total lost.  Great start to the LaRue series. We meet the LaRue boys in book 3 ‘Wild Need’ of the Chiasson series. We learned just a little about the LaRue’s in Wild Need. But in Moon Kissed we learn a lot more about the LaRue family and the curse that follows them.  I really enjoyed Myles and Addison’s story. I am very much looking forward to the next book in the LaRue family. There is just something about these Were’s that makes them so scary loveable.  Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of this book from Donna Grant in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

The first book in Donna Grant's LaRue series was good. I enjoyed the two main characters. Even though it is a novella, Donna wrote it in a way that made the relationship develop slowly and steadily. The conflict was strong with an already set up villain from the Chiasson series. I enjoyed the passion, the action, the characters, and the overall story. I look forward to more of the LaRue brothers.

It was too short but I loved that Solomon and Minka finally got together, such a great love story. Now the families are together to rescue Riley. I'm upset about Griffin but I know why he did what he did. Can't wait for the next book, just hope its a little longer

I’m still reeling from this – that no one (scowly face) NO ONE told me of the wonder that is a shifter story from Donna Grant.   Yeah – I’ll be getting the rest of these soon, and plan to hide out with the LaRue pack as soon as I can swing the time away.  There are werewolves, vampires, witches and Voodoo priestesses all set in New Orleans as the LaRue brothers seek to maintain the peace between the factions in the city. Addison walks into Gator Bait bar after a perfectly horrible day, and her life, and luck, change almost instantly. Nearly broke, exhausted from working three jobs and going to university, spending her last money to grab a cold drink and something to eat as she regroups turns out to be a fortuitous chance.  Myles is behind the bar, and can’t take his eyes off Addison.  His take-charge cousin Riley Chiasson strikes up a conversation and suggests Addison come work as a waitress at the bar. Much to Myles’ distress – Addison is now working at the bar, and the attraction between the two is charged.  When Addison is nearly killed by a vampire behind the bar, and then singled out for attention from the Voodoo Priestess that cursed the LaRue family, her understanding and belief of all things “odd” about New Orleans suddenly is real. And that wolf that saved her from the vampire is somehow familiar and not at all frightening.  Action, tension, tons of emotion and great interactions highlight this first in the spin off from the Chiasson Series.  Each of the characters is well developed, with a focus on Myles and his finding his mate and happiness in Addison.  There is no lack of characters to cheer for: from Addison and her troubled past, to Myles and his fears about the curse, his brothers and their cousin Riley, still angry from being ‘banished’ to Austin without family or visits – they even missed her graduation.  Grant has penned a story that has me curious about all of the characters that I’ve met, and wanting to know more of the background that led to this series.  I received an eBook copy of the title from the publisher for purpose of honest review for The Jeep Diva. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Another amazing story from Donna Grant, I was never into wolf shifters, well except for Taylor Lautner! That is until now, Donna has changed my whole thoughts on wolf shifters,  move over Taylor because the LaRue brothers are on the scene, cursed by a voodoo priestess and cousins to the Chiassons, These brothers hunt the supernatural in New Orleans and run a bar called Gator Bait, where the charming Addison Moore, a college student who is struggling to make ends meat gets stranded in town and stops in for a bite to eat where she meets the sexy Myles LaRue, and lands a job working for him and his brothers. With the exciting new job, the sexy sinful blue eyes of Myles watching her and the promise of danger Addison is in for a wild ride..  Can't wait for the next installment in the LaRue series!

Fantastic read! I loved everything about this book. I was engaged the whole time and very much look forward to reading lots more about the fabulous LaRue brothers! I love the whole setting and felt like I was actually in The French Quarter. Not only is the town magical and mysterious, so are the LaRues and I just want more of them! Addison is alone and struggling to make a better life for herself . As if college and working herself to the bone isn't enough, just as she's about to see the light at the end of the tunnel, her hope is crushed. At her wits end she walks into a bar that will forever change her life. When Myles lays eyes on Addison for the first time, he knows he can't resist her and bringing her into his dangerous world would be certain death. Little do they know she is already in the crosshairs of an evil voodoo priestess that is determined to take her life. The connection I felt between Myles and Addison had such a sweet, romantic passionate vibe that will melt your heart. I'm excited to see what is next for this family of sexy wolves. Reviewed by Kristin
