More Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives: A Drop-Top Culinary Cruise Through America's Finest and Funkiest Joints could have been extremely valuable to me if: #1 pictures of the food were included, and #2 all of the recipes were in the typical "recipe format" -- half were in a "story" format which made it very difficult. Don't get me wrong, its still a good cook book, but it could have been a great one. Guy Feri rocks!

My Nook hung up and purchased two of these books at the same time. These people will not give you a refund. I would highly suggest you spend some time on the phone with customer support to learn how to not have this happen. An expensive lesson learned. Mad !

as much as i've tried to get into watching guy on tv, i can't. he's just too much, but that's his deal. his books are a distilled version of this and much easier to take. that said, guy's all over the map (literally, figuratively, and culinar-ily) with this book. there is something for everyone in this book. i recommend this for someone interested the food but also the essence of what makes guy fieri a star: pure, unadulterated awesome.

This book is great for anyone who is a fan of the show. Guy Fieri really makes an effort to share a little bit of the establishments he's been to, as well as the food he's eaten. It's easy to read, and lets the viewer know a little more about places that they might not otherwise hear of. Great gift idea!

I love watching Guy on TV, great entertainment and food. My children bought me this cookbook for Christmas, and I just love it. It gives you a sampling of great foods across the United States.

I bought this gift for my nomadic parents who enjoy RV'ing around the USA. The reviews were written in an entertaining fashion, and divided into areas of the country for ease of use.

I have watched this show and enjoyed it, but my husband is the bigger fan. The book shows how the show is made, introduces the crew and has Q&A with Guy. It has more bios and recipes from the places he has visited. An enjoyable read...

I had never seen any of Guy's shows nor read the precursor book when I picked up this volume. The first portion of the book describes the show's production and crew and a few other related sections. Despite my lack of fandom it was still very interesting and fun to read. The remainder (and bulk) of the book features small narratives describing some of the diners, drive-ins, and dives featured on the show along with frequent asides, additional notes, and at least one recipe per location. The narratives are both entertaining and make your mouth salivate with the descriptions of wonderful food. Most of all they tell the local's and people's stories which is the best part of the book. The recipes are very diverse and although I am not likely to tackle many of them myself (e.g. the Turducken and SamSon) there are others I will certainly try. These are grouped into three massive regions: Northeast, Southeast, and the West. Overall, it is a great book and I already know who I will be passing it along to.
