Janice Napoleon is an emeritus associate professor of nursing at Oregon Health Sciences University. Her graduate work at Duke University included studying human development and self-esteem with Dr. John B. Reckless. For over 20 years she taught nursing and management skills to nursing students. She also concentrated on human development with a focus on personal empowerment, and has served as a human resource consultant.
