About the Author

I was born and brought up in Godalming, Surrey in England. I have two sisters. I left school at 16 and started work as an auxiliary nurse. At 18 I trained at Guildford to become a Registered Nurse completing 26 years of nursing as a Clinical Nurse Manager in a Rehabilitation Hospital. I had always enjoyed writing poetry but following the death of my 13 year old son, I wrote his memoirs for cathartic reasons, resulting in My Son, Blib. I self published it in 2,000 and sold 1,000 copies, I republished it in 2001, due to popular demand locally and sold a further 600 copies. I currently live in Menorca, Spain with my mongrel dog Bandido, who had been dumped in a refuge.

In the beginning, there was darkness. Light was unthinkable. Then, through the inky blackness, something awakened. A small spark deep inside flickered to life. Hope, the greatest being had awakened.
