Olga Broumas

Incantatory and hypnotic readings of original poetry, as well as bilingual versions of her translations of Odysseas Elytis.

Olga Broumas was born in Greece and was trained in Architecture and the graphic arts. Her first book of poems Beginning with O, won the Yale Younger Poets Award in 1976. She has published several collections of poems and translated the work of Odysseas Elytis. She has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation.
