Ours to Love (Wicked Lovers Series #7) by Shayla Black

Between two brothers…

Xander Santiago spent years living it up as a billionaire playboy. Never given a chance to lead his family business in the boardroom, he became a master in the bedroom instead. His older brother, Javier, inherited the company and worked tirelessly to make it an empire. But while cutthroat corporate espionage took its toll on Javier, nothing was as devastating as the seemingly senseless murder of his wife. It propelled him into a year of punishing rage and guilt…until Xander came to his rescue.

Comes an irresistible woman…

Eager to rejuvenate Javier’s life, Xander shanghais him to Louisiana, where they meet beautiful London McLane. After a decade of tragedy and struggle, London is determined to make a fresh start—and these sexy billionaire brothers are more than willing to help. In every way. London is stunned to find herself open to every heated suggestion…and desperately hoping that her love will heal them.

And inescapable danger.

But a killer is watching, on a single-minded mission to destroy everything the Santiago brothers hold dear, especially London. As fear and desire collide, every passionate beat of her heart could be her last.

This book is ridiculous and just awful. If you're looking for romance, erotica, plot, character development, creative writing, look elsewhere because this book has none of these. I have read Ms. Black's other offerings and found several of them very enjoyable, but the BDSM themed stories have gotten progressively harder to stomach. In a previous review I longed for a plot that didn't involve someone trying to kill the female protagonist. Well, I got my wish. Unfortunately that tiresome plot twist was  replaced with a threesome relationship with two brothers simultaneously "making love" to the same girl,  if you consider using a knife and a lighter on a chained up woman to be good sex. I'm no prude; I just have taste. This was beyond misogynistic. There was nothing sexy about any of it. Ms. Black's use of one particular word to describe a part of the female body became notiecable (and decidedly unsexy) by page 2. I found myself flipping forward as soon as anything sexual began; I just wanted to know how in the world it would end. The only thing I enjoyed was the mention of characters from previous novels. Made me wish for more. Overall I highly recommend staying AWAY from this book; save your ten bucks and buy something sexy not an advertisement for violence, torture and abuse....ugh!

This is the seventh book in the Wicked Lover Series and definitely one of my favorites. I fell so hard for both the playful Xander and the more serious brother Javier. London was the perfect balance for these hot headed brothers and they were both dedicated to London's happiness and pleasure. Who wouldn't fall in love with that kind of devotion? This was a definite winner and a MUST read.

I read and enjoyed the previous books in this series, but this was just plain bad. Boring, no real plot, and all this internal dialougue drivil. I skimmed through the last third just to get it over with. Deleted it as soon as i finished it. It was a waste of space on my nook.

I am sorry, but this book just did not do anything for me. I love The Wicked Ties series, but this book Is a weak link in the series, and I pray that Theirs to Cherish does not end up being just like this book. This book was supposed to be Xander's story, and for me, it was everyone else's story but his. Xander felt like a secondary character in his own story. In reading the series, we all came to love Xander as a kind, loving, loyal, and funny playboy, and this book totally did not showcase Xander's personality. We understood he would make a chance, but where was any of Xander's personality???!! He didn't have to give up everything about himself. The book focused far too much on Javier and what he had lost. It barely focused on Xander and his feelings. Xander deserved someone who was going to be committed to him. I thought this book was going to be similar to the situation that Deke, Luc and Kimber had, but sadly, it was not, and I was greatly disappointed in this story. Javier, Xander and London fell deeply in love with each other after knowing each other for a day, that just makes no sense, and then after one week all problems were solved thanks to this woman. WTH???!!! The rest of the Wicked Ties gang was barely involved in the story, and with the plot written as it was, you would have expected to see Jack, Hunter, Logan (esp. since Xander and Logan are best friends), and Deke way more involved than they were. Heck, London is Alyssa's cousin and Alyssa was barely a part of the story. Thank goodness for the glimpses of Luc that we got. The story just didn't work for me. I'm sorry, but the ending was totally unreal, not to mention illegal and a bit twisted. I just hope I don't have to suffer through another one of these situations with Theirs to Cherish. Shayla Black is a much better writer than what was put out in this book. I am still waiting for Xander's story. The plot of this book could have been so much better, and London could still have been a savior to both brothers, but in a different manner for each brother. MY GOODNESS...THEY ARE BROTHERS FOR GOODNESS SAKES!!!

I have read every book in the Wicked Series but Our's To Love is by far my favorite. I could not put it down. Shayla Black tells a sweet and emotional story of love, redemption and a whole lot of healing on so many levels. London, Xander & Javier are three broken souls who come together to heal each other and find soul searing love. I hope, as in other Wicked books, these characters make an appearance so we can follow their family and love story. Thank you Shayla for taking us on another of your beautiful journeys, what a sweet way to end a weekend!!!

I was hoping for a better character for Xander. This story was ok. I was glad when it ended.

Can I just say I LOVE Xander and his brother. I loved Xander from the little slivers of him we got to see in the other books. I was so excited to read his story and see more about him. I love how she loves them both in different ways and they each feel such an intense love for her, it's crazy. Love this author and all her books.

I love the whole Wicked Lovers series and this book was another hot menage relationship that made me happy I bought the book. I almost didn't buy it because some of the reviews were so bad but took the chance because I've loved the rest of the series. I loved all 3 main characters, the story line and the ending. The Doms were not hardcore, they were loving and focused on their sub. I don't understand the bad reviews but to each his own

I loved this book. I'm about as vanilla as they come, but my dirty little secret is my love of menage books. This book had a good story line and some great sex! Perfect for a late night read.
