Picking up where the first book left off, Dana Fredsti continues to build her unique world of wild cards and zombies and expands her multiple storylines to pen another page-turning thriller. The author organically transforms Ashley and Gabriel’s relationship from the constant sniping and bickering in the first novel to a more mature relationship, while maintaining the sexual tension between them. A secondary romance between Simone and Nathan deepens the overarching storyline. The author skillfully develops of the wild cards’ camaraderie, which is tested when they lose some of their own during the zombie battles. Fredsti seamlessly adds an intriguing subplot when Ashley and the wild cards discover there is a traitor in their midst. Fully drawn into the author’s world again, I was completely caught up in multiple story arcs right up to the final stunning cliffhanger that left me anxiously awaiting the next novel. I was provided a copy of the book by BTS eMag for purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review – all conclusions are my own responsibility.

A good follow-on to the first book, Plague Town. The story is faster paced, but still needed a few more rounds of editing to be really good.

Plague Nation was a book I picked up on a whim because it sounded interesting, and I am so glad that I did.  Plague Nation was full of action, suspense, some romance, and proved very hard to put down.  Fredsti did a great job at capturing the reader's attention from the beginning and kept that attention until the very end.  The characters are well developed, and the reader really becomes invested in all of them.  Plague Nation was a great read that I am so glad that I picked up, and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed this book. I believe its a great zombie novel. I do have to say I hate how it ends, it just leaves you hanging. I hope the next book comes out soon! Also, I'm pretty sure by this point I kbow who is after Ashley and the rest of the wild cards. There is no real build up to figureout who it is. Overall its a great book to read, just wish they were longer.

Very good book, only wish it would tell of the wildcards using their powers more. The book hints at them having hyperactive senses but besides their faster healing and smell it dont really talk about speed or how strong they are. Ashley the main wildcard is always out powerd by Gabriel even tho he isnt really a wildcard. And is the walker flu what causes them to die and comes back or is it the vaccine? But still very good story.
