Dreena Burton has been vegan for almost 20 years, in that time writing four bestselling cookbooks charting her journey as a plant-powered cook and at-home mother of three. I have made several of the recipes in Dreena's book and they are delicious and easy to make. This book is always open in my house.

I've been following a whole foods plant-based diet for over two years now. I think one of the keys to eating more plants in the diet is to have some really good go-to recipes. Plant-Powered Families is one of those cookbooks you want to add to your "go-to" collection. I pre-ordered this book and received it the day it was released (May 12th). The last ten days I've tried entrees to breakfasts to desserts to salad dressings. The recipes are good enough to serve to company (whether they be vegan or not), and I'll be doing just that this Memorial Day weekend.
