THE ONLY PALEO GUIDE/COOKBOOK YOU'LL EVER NEED. SERIOUSLY! I'm one of those people who buys cookbooks and then literally cooks nothing from them because I'm only interested in 5-10 recipes max. (My last two $40 paleo cookbooks have been sitting unused for months. I made ONE recipe from one and NONE from the other. Seriously.) Then I get resentful because I spent so much money on a book that doesn't have the hundreds of amazing recipes I was expecting... FYI, this is NOT one of those crappy cookbooks. This is truly the end-all, be-all, go-to paleo guide. Whether you're a paleo rookie or a seasoned paleo veteran, you need to make room for this bad boy on your shelf. It pretty much contains all you'll ever need to know to succeed in this lifestyle. But, Real Life Paleo is not just a cookbook. It's so ridiculously informative, I can almost guarantee it's THE BEST paleo book purchase you'll ever make. It quite literally takes a real-life approach to explaining (& living) the paleo lifestyle, giving you a designated plan for transitioning, swapping out bad for good foods, and ultimately thriving as your inner caveman/woman - for the long run! Whether you're new to paleo or have been living it for years, you CAN and WILL benefit from RLP. It contains a plethora of recipes, spice blends, and meal ideas, paleo lifestyle tips & tricks, nutritional information, helpful guides & recipe labels (nut-free, egg-free, nightshade-free, one-pot-meal, on-the-go meal, 5-ingredients-or-less, 30-min-or-less), along with all the reasons why paleo works. If you think you knew all there was to know about paleo or think you've tried all the paleo recipes out there, THINK AGAIN! I've been paleo since August 2011 and am still completely wowed by this book with all the enticing recipes & helpful information it contains. I can safely say this is my absolute favorite paleo book, and that's JUST regarding recipes, alone. That's not even taking into account the ridiculous amount of real-life paleo advice, info, & tips this book provides, which trumps all the other grain-free cookbooks I've ever purchased. Here's my list so far: Peruvian Chicken Meal Brunch Meal Chinese Takeout Meal Turkey & Waffles Gnocchi Perfect Steaks Monkey Bread Baked Not-Potato Soup Snickerdoodle Whoopie Pies (I've tried their pumpkin whoopie pies and O.M.G. - I have no words) Honey Nut Cereal Spinach Artichoke Dip Corn Dog Muffins Mussels in Broth Egg Nog Pears wrapped in Prosciutto w/ arugula & pickled onions Chinese Lettuce Wraps No Bake Cranberry-Orange Bars Chai Tea Iced Tea Key Lime Pie I've never been so excited to cook from a cookbook.

I love that this book makes it so easy to try a Paleo lifestyle, whether you're someone who needs a phased approach or going whole hog. The recipes cover all the basics but also provides more adventurous ones as well. There's a little something here for everyone. They have some good advice for beginners on how to transition to Paleo along with meal plans. It's a great way to see how to pull it all together.

So my 10 yo is gluten-free and my 7 yo is dairy free. But I've known for a while and my doctor has confirmed I need to transition them to AIP (autoimmune paleo). Somehow I find this task very daunting and have been putting it off. Now I am so grateful to have Stacey to hold my hand and walk me through it. Her three-stage approach makes it all so much more manageable. Thank you.

Every recipe is a winner! Well... almost. I could have done without a recipe for flavored water, but the actual recipe recipes are fantastic. A great addition to your paleo library, and a great book for those people considering transitioning to paleo. It's full of festive holiday dishes, kid-friendly options, and quick weeknight meals. The 3-phase paleo approach is a really great idea and it helps to convert people who think they won't like paleo dishes or that cooking paleo is too hard. I have cooked the Green Onion Bacon Mac 'n' Cheese (contains neither mac nor cheese but is full of awesome), the pumpkin pudding (rich, festive, and delicious), the butternut squash bisque (warming and healing), and the mini corn dog muffins (pure fun) and every single recipe has come out looking like the pictures and has gotten rave reviews from anyone who's tried it. Best of all, if you have a basic stock of paleo pantry items, you can cook / bake most of the things in the book without a special trip to the store for ingredients. I can't wait to cook my way through the book!

I love, Love, LOVE this book! It's all you really need to successful eat in a paleo lifestyle, or anyone really who wants to eat real food. At times, the recipes were a challenge but I haven't found one recipe so far that I don't like! Did I mention that I LOVE this cookbook?!

AMAZING!!  A great way to start your Whole Food journey! Start with phase 1 and move to phase 3 for healing and health. Stacy and Matt did an excellent job putting together all of their recipes from their's fantastic!!! Highly recommend!

Real Life Paleo takes what can be a confusing, intimidating, and overwhelming experience (going from a standard american diet to a paleo one) and makes it completely understandable and accessible. Stacy and Matt have laid out complete meals (with pictures!) so you can envision what your new paleo dinners, lunches, and breakfasts will look like. They have also created a three tier system that gives people the ability to make changes at their own pace, whether they are just trying to cut out some nutritional "worst offenders", going full on paleo, or healing from an illness. Whether you're a paleo veteran or complete newbie, Real Life Paleo has something for you!

I had the joyous opportunity of meeting Stacy and her spouse at a book signing in the Washington, DC area, after lightly following her blog and purchasing one their cookbooks. I was blown away by her intelligence, confidence and passion for the Paleo lifestyle. I had been Paleo-curious for a while and after seeing the example she sets with herself and her family, I feel like I have a Paleo-Warrior-Mom as an idol! In Real Life Paleo, the recipes are imaginative, easy to follow, and ,most of all, delicious. I brought a dish from this book to a work function and i was the biggest hit of the night. High recommend to any and all!

As someone new to Paleo, this book makes the transition EASY.  It is well written with great ideas and amazing photographs. The thing that I like best about this book is that the recipes and ideas incorporate almost effortlessly into our busy lifestyles.  The phased approach works out very well and I love the focus on health.  The other thing that is great about this book is that it makes living on our food-centric world easier for those following a special “diet”.....there are recipes in this book for special occasions, for snacks, for families.   I love swapping out pasta for zucchini planks and riced cauliflower for rice.  I’ve only had this book for a small time period, but already it has become a staple in my kitchen and I love it!

Real Life Paleo's three step approach simplifies the transition to a healthier lifestyle. It describes the foods to eliminate, the ingredients to swap and the time each recipe take. This approach made if very easy for myself to succesfully apply these ideas into my own lifestyle. Real Life Paleo is a great book and is not just a diet but a lifestyle.
