Running Wild, An LCR Elite Novel by Christy Reece

He'll Stop At Nothing To Protect The Ones He Loves

LCR Elite operative Aidan Thorne is dedicated to rescuing kidnapped victims from some of the most dangerous places in the world, but that will never stop him from hunting down a coldblooded killer. Child psychologist Anna Bradford is a temptation unlike any he's ever faced, penetrating the steely armor encasing his heart. Though he wants her with an unending ache, Anna's very survival requires Aidan to stay as far away from her as possible.

Understanding human behavior is Anna Bradford's profession. Aidan Thorne is a mystery she has yet to unravel. Her fascination for the snarling, often rude man is a battle she fights on a daily basis. Her head tells her to stay away, her heart tells her something different. When they join forces to help rescue a friend, Aidan finally allows Anna to see the man beneath the tough exterior. Falling in love with him was inevitable.

But someone is watching. He's been hiding in the shadows for years, waiting. The time has finally arrived. Anna Bradford will be his tool, his perfect weapon of revenge. She will be his masterpiece.

His worst fears realized, Aidan must now find a way to save Anna before the madman that destroyed his life once before lives out his ultimate fantasy.

“What an odd feeling it was to want to slap a man and kiss him at the same time. Only Aidan Thorne had ever made her think that way….” That’s Aiden Thorne for you – one of the elite of the Elite LCR, handsome, sexy and a sinfully deadly operative, with a past that haunts him and places the people he loves in danger. “Just because she looked like candy sprinkles on an ice cream sundae didn’t mean she was delicate…” the beautiful and resilient Anna Bradford has endured enough pain and torture to last her many lifetimes. Delicate flower she is not, but a child psychologist she definitely is, placing all her energy and passion in helping children and jumping into the frying pan to save the ones she cares with all her heart. The disappearance of her colleague brings Anna to Aiden as Aiden is searching for a past that he needs to bury to move on with his future. And this little incident manifests into a dangerous ride of betrayal, death and the momentous truth of love that was meant to be. “Running Wild” is another brilliant romantic suspense by Christy Reece in her LCR Elite Series and Aiden has held a super special place in the hearts of the readers and giving him his happily ever after is just icing on the cake. The incorporation of the sub plot is a great twist as is the reality behind Aiden’s past. And as the plot gets more evil and twisted, Christy never loses her grip of narration, nor does she lose sight of developing the relationship between Aiden and Anna. And I have to reiterate the fact that a review definitely doesn’t do justice to her novels. Her books have to be read to endure the evil, live in the emotions, savor the passion and root for her flawed characters with her flawless writing! Received an ARC from the author for an honest review.

Ever since I was first introduced to Aidan Thorne, I’ve been (im)patiently waiting for his story. I knew Aidan had a great backstory, meaning, in Christy Reece’s LCR world, it was a painful, torturous event that made him the protector he is. His medical knowledge is indicated in prior books and in Running Wild we learn about that training and I absolutely loved the reason for this (I won’t give the spoiler). Reece writes strong heroic characters, both male and female, that stay with me. The storylines suck you in and doesn’t let you go. She also creates the most evil and twisted villains in her series and doesn’t disappoint in Running Wild. Christy Reece writes novels that are “meaty” – meaning not wham, bam, then end. They have a complete story with so many emotions, action-filled, romance, humor, and plots that leave you on the edge. Fabulous read! Left me completely fulfilled. Running Wild is one of her best! Running Wild is book 4 of the LCR Elite series. It can be read as a standalone. Aidan and Anna had very little interaction together in prior books so you are not missing a story by starting here. The series is so good, that I recommend reading them all, including the LCR series (books 1-10)

Aidan Thorne, he is an LCR Elite operative, who job is to rescuing kidnapped victims from dangerous places. Aidan, has a past that almost destroyed him and made him want to do whatever he can to help with rescuing kidnapped victims. Anna Bradford, is a child psychologist. Anna has overcome a vicious kidnapping, brainwashing and a hostage situation. With everything that Anna has gone through she felted that using her experience would help traumatized victims. Anna Bradford, is looking for her colleague that has disappeared. When by accident she run into Aidan Thorne, and she has enlisted his help. In the meantime, someone from Aidan past has been in wait for his revenge on Aidan. Christy Reece, knows how to created her characters that are heroic and of course the worst of the worst villains. If you haven’t read any of the books in this series, they are a must read. Running Wild, has a lot of suspense, intrigue and romance. Let me say this that you will thoroughly enjoy this book. Christy, has never let me down.
