SCORCH, the fifth book in the Playing With Fire series of novellas…

Emily Bowers is supposed to be having a relaxing summer vacation with her parents on Cape Cod. But almost immediately upon her arrival, mysterious strangers begin to appear, and dark family secrets start to get revealed.

Emily’s very soul is in danger, and someone – or something – is coming to collect. And it turns out that Lucas, the hot, enigmatic boy whose family owns the house Emily’s staying in, may just be the only one who can help her escape a fate worse than death.

From the authors who brought you the hit series The Witches of Santa Anna comes a paranormal romance series that proves that first impressions aren’t always what they seem, and that in the battle between good and evil, love is the only thing that matters...

Amazing series.

Its a good story but almost not worth the money being so ridiculously short. They would have been better off waiting and releasing all at once in an actual novel.

I feel cheated. My advise to possible future readers is don't get started on this series. It's not a bad book, but there are plenty more just  Are more out there like it that won't nickel and dime you to death. I won't read anything more from this author since she cares more about her immediate bottom line than her possible future profits of a loyal readership.

Honestly i believe that the book could have had a little bit more of information that is not tersely detailed. Other than that it was pretty good. Anyways when does the next book come out? Im dying to find out what happens next. Ive already finished reading the whole series in only 3 and 1/2 hours. You better be writing Mr. Aaron.

I was getting into this series( if you can call it that 31 page books!) and then it stopped, it all should be one book as there is no conclusion at the end of the book. All books and stories should follow a pattern intro, climax and conclusion, it is okay to leave a cliffhanger and the reader wanting more but not in the middle of the book! I actually believe that this is a way of making more money, it is like dangling a juicy steak in front of a dog knowing that when he goes to take a bite you just pull it away! I wish I never started reading this "series" as it leaves you high and dry in the middle of a book.
