Secrets at Seaside is the sweeter version of Seaside Secrets. All these books stand-alone though I'd suggest going back and reading the previous books in the series to see how everyone has grown and changed throughout the series. Or read them in order but it is not necessary to understand what has happened. It was great to go back to The Cape and visit with The Seaside Sisters and all their Men. Whether they realize that they are theirs yet or not. This book focused on Amy Maples "The Sweetheart" and Tony Black. Amy owns her own company and lives in Boston, when she is not at The Cape at her Seaside Cottage for the summer. Tony is a Pro-Surfer and motivational speaker. Most all of the "Friends" were passed down the cottages from their parents, the ones that they summered at, while growing up. Now as adults, whoever doesn't live there year-round spends their summers at their Seaside Cottages with their friends. Tony and Amy were both secretly (at least that is what they thought) in Love with each other and thought that the other did not reciprocate those feelings. They had been friends since childhood and went through something significant together as teenagers. That incident truly was a secret from all their Family and Friends and it did not end well. They also both think that the other has gotten over it and moved on emotionally while neither of them really has. A couple years after this, they became friends again and neither brought up the incident and they went on like nothing ever happened between them. Tony very sweetly takes care of Amy and watches over her, as he has since they 1st met (minus the few years they did not see each other and were avoiding each other). Amy is offered a job in another Country, but now they both are having trouble hiding their feelings for each other and would like to try to find out what the other feels. Will their true feelings for each other come out? Or will Amy just leave and take the offered job? Will they talk about about the incident that happened that caused their parting of ways years prior and finally try to deal with it? Grab a copy and come visit The Cape and settle in for a great sweet heartwarming story. I was given an ARC copy from Beck Valley Books through the book tour they are holding for Secrets At Seaside. 5-stars, 5th-in-series, arc, beach, beck-valley-books, contemporary, contemporary-romance, fun-read, read, romance, stand-alone, sweet-romance

It's a novel of second chances and Amy and Tony have an interesting backstory. I'm not always a huge fan of second chance novels because sometimes that backstory can really bog down a story. That didn't really happen here, in a way that would frustrate me, though Amy and Tony's backstory is really one heck of a back story. This was a pretty emotional book as far as romances go too. That's actually something I really like. Any author that can bring a tear to my eye at times or can make me laugh out loud gets a more than a few props from me. And the tragedy that happened to Amy in her teenage years really will tug at your heartstrings. However there were times when I wanted to pop her, because I just didn't understand not talking about what happened to the guy that you supposedly love. Tony was a gem of a guy. I can't imagine either person holding a torch for as many years as they both did, but the level of caring Tony showed for Amy was amazing. Everyone should have a guy like that in their lives. The family involvement in their relationship or rather in why their relationship didn't quite make it the first time around is also a bit emotional, at least on Tony's side. If a romance can have a moral or something you absolutely should take away from it, is in a relationship you should never keep things quiet. Communication would have kept these two together, had Amy decided to talk, or had Tony forced her too. I absolutely loved this book.

In this story we have Amy and Tony who are such a strong couple. However there are many dark things that have torn them apart. What I love about this book is that it shows how second chances and true love really can conquer all. This story also tells us that sometimes when things don't work out it's because of timing. And if we have patience things that are meant to be happen when the time is right. I truly loved this story and of all the books in this series this one is my favorite. Even though this is the fifth book in this series it can definitely be read on it's own. My sister read this book first and loved it so much that she just had to read the other four. I can't wait to read the next book and see if it can top this one. If you're like me and really enjoy a truly romantic story, this is a book you are not going to want to miss.

Ready for a classic girl next door story with a twist? Well, Addison Cole provides that here in spades. Amy is that girl that looks like she has just about everything. Everything but her true love. All of her friends around have found their true love, but Amy is always the one on the outside. Don’t get me wrong–she is not a spinster, but getting darn close! I really like how Cole weaves a gentle love story with full on romance story–but one I’d be happy to share with my soon to be teenage daughter. As she gets older, and consequently so do I, I want a romance story that leaves more to my imagination–and Cole does it perfectly. Just enough to make me blush, but not too much for my youngish daughter. Give me more that I can share with her!

Amy Maples is the careful businesswoman who has built her career and now has an awesome professional opportunity, but it would take her away from any future possibility of being with Tony. Tony Black is a motivational speaker and surfer, who has had the hots for Amy since they were in college. Now they are friends and he is her protector, but it hurts knowing that they are just friends. Amy and Tony share a history that dates back to their college days. While they are friends now, they took their friendship to another level but a tragic accident changed things for them. Their friends believe that they are just friends who are fighting their feelings for each. But Amy and Tony share a tragic secret that their friends know nothing about. Tragedy can either make or break a relationship. Addison deals with their story in a sensitive matter that while you will be emotional, your heart strings will be continued to be tugged in the true Addison Cole nature. *An advance copy of this book was provided to me for review purposes only, all opinions expressed are my own*

The Seaside girls are back in action! Tony and Amy have been dancing around each other for years, flirting and maintaining a close friendship. As more and more of their group have found love, Amy is torn about taking a job on the other side of the world. Seeing Tony every summer hurts her, since she's loved him for so long. Tony has had a thing for Amy since high school, and is doing everything he can to stay close to her and take care of her, without crowding or scaring her away. Will this summer change their relationship for the better or will it destroy it for good? I love this series, and this book is no different! Tony and Amy are amazing, and I can't wait to explore more of the Seaside gang! I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

I really want a Tony Black of my own! Ms. Cole really knows how to write men that I fall in love with every time. I love that Tony isn't perfect, but he owns his imperfections and still knows what he wants. Almost every character in every book has some past that has shaped them and they have to overcome. I love that while Amy and Tony do have a past to overcome they need to do it together rather than alone. I can relate to Amy so well in her need to please those she loves. I loved watching her grow so much by the end of this book. While sweet with heat books aren't my norm, I usually go full heat, I love this series so much! It has been so refreshing to get those butterfly feelings, like a first crush, again. I can't wait for the next book and to catch up with the seaside gang again! #MSBB

Sometimes you have to go back to go forward. For years, Tony and Amy have spent summers together. It was their "thing" that had a beginning, middle, and end - except, the passion that ignited within it was only known to them....or so they thought. While their connection was completely obvious, they both had let their heart take over and do the leading instead of their minds.  They have grown into new, separate lives with big futures ahead of them; however, until they deal with their past, neither one will ever be truly happy in anything they pursue. With a little resistance, Addison Cole opens the door for this couple to lay the past 14+ years on the table. I enjoyed that they weren't cast into "perfect human being" roles. Tony and Amy both have faults and made poor choices but by the end, you'll appreciate that they took the time to give it one last chance.  Addison Cole takes another love story and makes it full of sweetness that is spiced with just enough heat to make your heart swoon! By far, the friendships between the characters is my favorite. Wish I could find such a great group in the real world! I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

As a lover of sweet romance tales, I can be quite critical of romance novels. I am not easily impressed, but I admit that Addison Cole has stepped things up in this volume. I have only read two other books in the series, and there is no doubt that this one is my favorite so far. I found myself relating to the plight of Amy's supposed unrequited love, but there was so much more depth to this story than the vast majority of romances care to detail. While the romance was sultry and sensual at times, I found that Amy and Tony did not spend all of their time in the bedroom (and because this is the sweet edition, the door was thankfully closed to those exchanges). They actually had to talk through the issue that had separated them so long ago, and at the conclusion, they discovered there was much miscommunication and needless suffering they both had undergone. There is no profanity in the book, and while the characters often go skinny dipping, I didn't have to "witness" this, and I never found myself offended or put off by anything included in the book. I applaud Addison for truly crafting a book that those of us who prefer sweet romance can read and yet still savor the depth of the story on a deep emotional level.

First, I just need to fangirl a little over this being the FIRST seaside wedding! It's so exciting after watching the girls fall in love that one of them finally made it to the altar! But the wedding isn't the main attraction of this heart twisting, sexy, love story. Sweet Amy and Noble Tony are the stars. Each trapped in the past and afraid to move forward, they dance around each other like a tap dancer on a cliff edge. With Amy's future life, job, and home in the balance, will they finally overcome their fear of the past killing the future?

I’ve become a fan of the light-hearted romance novels by Addison Cole. Secrets at Seaside was another fabulous story in her series! I found this book expressed a deeper emotional level of love & friendship. Although Tony and Amy are great friends, throughout the novel there’s an ongoing hope of them connecting as a couple and not just friends. This story touches on basic life lessons, as well as the endurance of their genuine love for one another. Their chemistry is undeniable. The long-held secret will take you by surprise. The story is quite intriguing and unfolds at a pace that significantly quenches the thirst of the reader. This is definitely a must-read novel; I would recommend it.

Before I begin, I know I say this with all of Melissa/Addison’s novels, but I swear this time it’s the truth – this is my all-time favorite! Amy has always seemed so sweet and reserved compared to some of the other girls that summer in Wellfleet, but in this novel, Addison Cole honestly reveals Amy’s true character shedding light on how she came to be the fabulous woman that she is. Likewise, with Tony. He’s always seemed like this hot, mysterious, player that had a sweet, sibling-type love for Amy. However, all of my previous thoughts were blown out of the water with this one. Secrets at Seaside was funny, romantic, and had just enough spice, like all of the Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summer novels, but it had so much more. There was raw emotion, scars from the past, confronting those scars, and basically, just real-life circumstances that any one of us could have experienced or still struggle to come to terms with. There were times that it was uncomfortable, I got teary-eyed more than once, and laughed out loud numerous times – but something about this one was just different. Despite the numerous books this author has written, it is crystal clear that she gets better with every novel, even when I don’t think it’s possible. This is not just a romantic beach-read type novel, but one that combines all of Addison Cole’s trademark wonders, combined with realistic emotion and conflict that inspire the reader to feel right along with the characters. This entire series is full of must-reads, but Amy and Tony’s story should absolutely not be missed. I am so grateful to continue to be included in reviewing Addison Cole’s novels and being a part of Beck Valley Book Tours!

Tony and Amy were always two of my favorites in the Seaside gang. This book makes them that, even more so. I found out more about the history of Tony and Amy's friendship in Secrets at Seaside. This made the two of them more real in my mind. As I've said with the books written by Addison Cole , I love Cape Cod. I may be a mountain girl at heart but the Cape is a place I've been and I have fond memories of a family vacation there. Of course, at 16, I thought I should have more freedom than I was allowed but I still have great memories of this place. This group of friends is really great. The women, especially Amy who has her own business, are all strong female characters. I love books - regardless of genre - where there is a strong female character. Definitely pick up Secrets at Seaside by Addison Cole. You will not regret it. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Secrets at Seaside by Addison Cole finally gives us the much awaited story of Amy and Tony. I had been super intrigued about the hot and cold chemistry between these two and easgerly awaiting their story. Addison Cole shines in this book. Definitely the best of this series so far, I loved loved loved this book. Tony and Amy have been dealing with soul crushing grief, guilt and unresolved issues from their past which has left an indelible imprint on their present relationship. Despite loving each other so deeply they are scared of committing to each other- craving but never showing their true feelings. I got misty eyed and felt heart broken reading about their past. This book gives the readers more insight into these two characters and you are sure to feel deeply connected. Tony has always been a true gentleman and very caring towards Amy but after this book, he has made a permanent place in my list of favourite book heroes. All in all, Secrets at Seaside by Addison Cole is a must read book and definitely one that I want to reread again and again. 5 stars out of 5 to it from me and recommended to all romance lovers looking for an intense love story with heart.

Sweet, Sexy Seaside crew with a touch of Ryder! Needless to say, I’m in awe, but I’ll say it anyway. I’m in awe! I had no idea Tony and Amy had such a sorted past. Talk about a twist and turn that left me aching for more. Their relationship is so comforting and unique (according to me) that I can barely put it into words. The history, the present, the future…all lovely and heartwarming. In the previous novels, I couldn’t tell what was going on with Tony, I just knew I wanted him and Amy together. I love Amy. I love all the Seaside residents. I wanted her to have her HEA with Tony and I ached for her in the other novels. This was her time to shine, and boy did she surprise the heck out of me. Tony is sexy (all the Seaside men are) and honorable and loyal and…well, everything, especially to Amy. I love them together, even when Amy was making me want to pull my hair out about her refusal to address their past. Tony is patient, and when the truth is finally revealed, I started loving him even more. As usual, the Seaside sisters are a delight. So funny with the chunky-dunking (wouldn’t be Seaside without it). And Theresa and Bella with their pranks. Golden! The novel is no doubt sweet and sexy and perfect for all romance readers with its low heat. But don’t think for one minute the sweet eliminates the spicy because it doesn’t, just like with Leanna’s jam. Tasty! And I can’t finish this review without mentioning my favorite men – The Ryders. I got some Duke and Blue. For those of you who aren’t aware….I’m addicted to the Ryders, and I have no shame! Grab a copy of this magnificent romance!

Addison Cole writes wonderfully moving, sweet with heat romance novels. Her characters are real, honest and fun people who you would want as your friends. Secrets at Seaside is the 5th book in the Seaside Series. Secrets can be read as a stand-alone, but it makes a more enjoyable reading experience if read in series order. I fell in love with both characters - Amy Maples is beautiful, sugar and spice; Tony Black is handsome, protective and a good friend to Amy. He was her true knight in shining armor until something happened when they were young that drove them apart. Since then, Amy and Tony have held a secret for fourteen years. For Amy, she knows a grief no woman wants and for Tony, he lives with a guilt that he can never shake. Simply said, Addison Cole wrote a love story that affected me deeply. I was all in from the first page until the last. My emotions ran the gamut from happiness, to grief, to swooning in love. I had tears in my eyes, which threatened to overflow at a moment’s notice. As you know, Addison Cole doesn’t write her books leaving you with a cliffhanger, so you will be rewarded with one special treat at the end! I highly recommend Secrets at Seaside, so gather your tissues and settle in for a love story that is certainly sweet with heat! I received a copy of Secrets at Seaside for an honest review.

Sweet Treat of a Romance I can tell that the Seaside Summers series is rich in love and friendship. Without having read the prior books, I could easily sense the depth of the friendships and shared experiences amongst the cozy group of friends who grew up together summering on the Cape. Secrets At Seaside by Addison Cole, is a second-chance at love romance. It is a seriously sweet love story, and it is a story of forgiveness and moving on. Amy Maples and Tony Black secretly adored each other every summer when their families stayed on Cape Cod. Fourteen years ago, they secretly got together; it was short lived, and it ended badly. That summer affected them deeply, and when Amy finds herself at a fork in the road, she uncharacteristically throws caution to the wind and attempts to entice Tony into a relationship again. The first third of Secrets At Seaside is painfully angsty. The presumed unrequited love, the secret longing, the self-blaming (for the 14-year-old incident) went on a little too long for a couple of thirty-somethings. Once the lovebirds decided to talk frankly about their past as well as their hopes for the future, the story pace--and my interest--picked up dramatically. Beyond Amy and Tony confronting the issues surrounding their past relationship, these two must also work through some relationship issues with their fathers. They must forgive their fathers for not being perfect, and they must forgive themselves for the disrespect and lack of compassion they showed their fathers. Their epiphany is difficult but eventually heartwarming. All the characters are delightful. So much so, that I wanted to become part of their little summer cottage community. Secrets At Seaside is as much about the community and the bond amongst family and friends as it is about Amy and Tony’s relationship. Secrets At Seaside is a sweet treat and an uplifting read. Each book in Addison Cole’s Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series can be read as a standalone novel.

I've been eagerly awaiting this book. I've been intrigued by Amy and Tony through out this series. I didn't realize the emotional roller coaster they were going to put me through. I had tears in my eyes after learning the secrets of their past. The deep emotion those two feel I could feel myself. The whole time I read this book I was rooting for these two because no one deserves a HEA more then these two. This book had the humor and camaraderie I've come to look forward to. I wish I could be friends with these girls. They group is so close and has each other's back no matter what. The end is the icing on the cake when it comes to this book. It's so beautiful and so fitting. I highly recommend this book and if you haven't tried this series yet what are you waiting for!

Secrets at Seaside is a great addition to the Sweet with Heat Seaside series. The settings are described very well. The best part of this story are the characters. I got to know and started to enjoy the main characters, Amy Maples and Tony Black, in the other Seaside books. When reading this story, I couldn't help think that it was about time for these two to deal with their feelings together. Amy is a very kind, sweet, and ambitious woman. I have always enjoyed how she was one of the level-headed Seaside Sisters. Amy is one who likes to do the right thing. Amy has spent years pinning after Tony, one of her best friends. Tony is protective and caring. He's loyal to his friends. I love seeing how much Tony tries to watch over and protect Amy. I just wish he would have vocalized his feelings for her sooner. Tony encourages Amy to take a new job. By keeping his feelings to himself, he risks losing Amy. Amy and Tony have kept a big secret from their friends for years. That secret pushed them apart when they were younger. Now, they've spent years ignoring that the past ever happened. For them to make their relationship work, they'll have to deal with the past and changes in the present. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

A sweet heartwarming romance of second chances! Secrets at Seaside is a well-written book that will having keep you entertained from beginning to end. This story is full of tragedy, forgiveness, passion and plenty of romance. You never know what to expect from the girls of Seaside, so prepare to see some shenanigans pop up while reading. There are moments in this story that will have you aching for the pain and memories that Amy and Tony go through. To be so young and to have to go through the struggles that Amy went through alone is so heartbreaking. The girls at Seaside share a strong close friendship and bond. They add such mischief. It is easy to feel a connection to and like all of the characters. When I finished reading the book, I feel that the characters are one my friends, the next-door neighbor, and even family. Addison Cole does a wonderful job of weaving romance with humor and passion while adding in tragedy and heartache that ends with the happy-ending that we come to expect. I know when I see her name on a book that it will be an entertaining and enjoyable book that I won’t be able to put down. Addison Cole definitely has a gift for writing spectacular stories! I have not been disappointed with a book yet! Definitely an author that you will want to keep on the top of your go-to list. If you enjoy reading sweet romance with a touch of humor, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book and the series. A truly captivating, emotional and heartwarming read.

For years Amy and Tony have been friends. Tony watches out for Amy, holds her hand when they are out, puts his arm around her when she is cold, and takes her home when she has too much to drink. Amy knows Tony’s surfing schedule better than Tony, texts him daily, and watches him whenever he is around. Yet, they are not a couple. They are just friends. Amy and Tony have history. It had to be there somewhere but no one but them knew what it was. It wasn’t a past that they wanted to revisit; it wasn’t something that they wanted to share but to move forward they knew that they had to. I love when characters have a history and work to move past it. I feel like that makes them real, relatable, and lovable. Amy and Tony became characters that I was invested in. I needed to know what secrets their past held. There is so much love, life, and friendship in this book that my heart was bursting. I could feel the relationship love, the friendship love, and the all around love between the characters of Seaside. Addison Cole has such talent. These books are sweet with some heat. The attraction and the feelings are all there but she keeps her books clean. There is no foul language and no explicit scenes.

I love a good second chance love story. Tony and Amy have both longed for the other for years but no matter how many times that Amy makes a move, Tony resists. The more of their story and past is revealed the more you realize what they have both gone through. The hurt and pain that they went through when they were younger was enough to make my eyes tear up. This summer Amy decides to make one last attempt at seducing Tony and after he turns her down she takes a job in Australia. With the threat of Amy moving to Australia for two years lingering, Tony decides they should take a chance on each other, if only they can move on from the past pain. I was so glad with the way the author handled their pain & loss. I've never experienced what Tony and Amy went through but she wrote reactions that were believable and realistic. The sweet with heat writing puts a new spin on the Seaside Summers series. The book is so attention grabbing, from page 1 to the end of the book. The characters are all fun and it's fun to catch up with the Seaside girls after each book. You don't have to read these books in order, each of them can be read standalone. **4.5 Stars - I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader copy of this book.

I've been looking forward to Amy and Tony's story from the beginning. These two have always been cute together. I love how Tony has taken care of Amy at various times through this series. I knew something had to be there between them. I've been rooting for this couple for a while. I had no idea they had so much history though. Both together and apart. My goodness. Their romance has definitely not been easy. They've had so much to work through, and I think they really needed each other in order to face most of it. I think Amy and Tony just might be my favorite couple in this series so far. ARCs of Secrets at Seaside by Addison Cole were kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

This was a fun novel that included fun, intrigue and lots of secrets surrounding serious life topics. One of the main themes was the idea that although it may take years, true love and the right love will oftentimes find its way back. Sometimes things don’t work out but sometimes they work out later in life when the timing is right. As with the others in the series I like the sweet with heat versions of Melissa Foster’s novels with the pen name Addison Cole. You get the romance and the essence of the story with a hint of heat between the sheets but none of the actual details. Perspective is an interesting thing. In the heat of the moment people may think they’ve got a poker face but often times the people closest to them can tell there's more going on beneath the surface. The story touches upon a few difficult situations that affect many people including illness and the fear of mortality and its sad that Amy makes the decision to not tell her friends and family what she went through and decides to push through on her own. Your friends and family are the most important people in your life and life wouldn't be worth living without them by your side. Trust them, rely on them, and know that at the end of the day, they have so much love in their hearts for you. One of the main themes in relation to the difficult situations is the idea of accepting the past and moving forward. ‘‘If there’s one thing I’ve learned this summer, it’s that you can’t fix the past. You can only accept it, maybe try to understand it as best you can, and find a way to move forward and leave it where it belongs. In the past.” Reading this book made we want to take a vacation with all my close friends to a beach town and stay for the summer. I love the history that the friends have with one another. I thought the ending was so sweet but I won't ruin the surprise for you, you'll just have to go read it for yourself! I'm looking forward to the next one in the series. Are babies in store next for these gals?

Great story about young love that was lost and then found again when Amy and Tony are older and more mature. They've known each other and the other members of the Seaside Gang since they were little kids and loved each other as long. There's a secret that tore them apart that they've also kept from the others. Because they've always loved each other and been hurt they've never been truly able to put the past behind them and move on. This is the summer to face the past and work toward a future. This is the 5th book in the series and is able to be read as a stand alone. I've only read 3 of the 5 so far but this is definitely my favorite! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
