Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book Reviews by Kim Seducing the Bridesmaid is the third full length novel in the Wedding Dare Continuity series. I strongly recommend that you read the entire series, in order. Or at least read Baiting the Maid of Honor first. I love Katee Robert’s writing. While I wasn’t a fan of the heroine, I still liked the book. I was honestly surprised about that. In fact, the book left me with a happy satisfied feeling. Regan Wakefield who is an only child has grown up to respect what it means to work hard for what you want. She’s a planner and when she plans something, she sets out to accomplish that plan. It doesn’t matter what she has to do or who she has to step on to achieve her goal. I will say that Regan truly does care about her friends. You see that in this book and more so in the proceeding books. However, her actions early on in the this book sealed her fate with me. I mean seriously, it’s kind of hard to like a girl when she sleeps with one guy and turns around less than five minutes later and says she wants someone else and proceeds to try to get that person. That’s a little hard to get over. Brock McNeil is an easy going, likeable guy. Brock has a laid back southern charm that just makes you want to smile. He comes off as being an underachiever, but is so much more. Because of his upbringing, he keeps his true self to himself and doesn’t let anyone know what he does behind the scenes. And what he does do is something that’s very close to his heart and makes him that much more of a good guy. If I had to sum up the book, I would have to say that Seducing the Bridesmaid shows that sometimes plans just need to be changed. More specifically, what you want and what you need are two separate things. If you allow yourself to get out of your own way, you might find yourself happier than you could ever imagine. If you would like to read the series in order, this is the order you should read it in: Dare to Resist by Laura Kaye Falling for the Groomsman by Diane Alberts Baiting the Maid of Honor by Tessa Bailey Seducing the Bridesmaid by Katee Robert Best Man with Benefits by Samanthe Beck Source: Publisher

Regan Wakefield has a plan. She's a successful headhunter with a great career, but now she's looking for something to go along with it – a serious relationship. When she gets into the "wedding dare" with her friends, her intention is to bag Logan McCade, the perfect best man. He's successful, driven and hot. He would make the perfect mate for a firecracker like Regan. Logan is sexy and all, but Regan has blisteringly hot chemistry with Brock McNeil. She tries to deny it, deny him, but there's no way around the attraction they feel for each other. He doesn't fit into her plan, but he could be exactly what she needs. He's determined to break through her facade and make her see how great they could be together.  My favorite part of this book was the banter between Regan and Brock. They were seriously explosive – in and out of the bedroom. Much like the other novels in this series, Seducing the Bridesmaid was sexy. It also had quite a few heartwarming "awwww" moments thrown in as well. The characters were both tough, but likable, and I couldn't help but root for them. This is my first Katee Robert book, but it won't be my last.  If you're looking for a great, sexy adult standalone series, I can't recommend this one highly enough. I've read several Brazen titles, but I've never read an entire series yet. I tend to stick with the ones written by authors whose work I'm familiar with. This series has made me see the error of my ways. I'm definitely missing out on something. I thoroughly enjoyed the way all the characters appeared in each novel, giving another perspective to the pairings and the individual characters. These stories all meshed really well together and that's one of the things I enjoyed most about each of the books individually and the series as a whole.

## OK, this heroine pissed me off a bit, hence the 4 stars. I love, love a strong, capable heroine, I really do. But Regan was a (b) witch. She took it a tad too far. She was downright mean to the hero, repeatedly. I don't think any guy would've persued her after the way she acted. How the heck did this amazing man fall for her? No clue. Anyway, it was still good and I will read again. If you haven't read "Baiting the Maid of Honor" by Tessa Bailey yet, stop what you're doing and buy it now. It's part of this series and is spectacular!

***Review posted on The Eater of Books! blog*** Seducing the Bridesmaid by Katee Robert Book Three of the Wedding Dare series Publisher: Entangled Brazen Publication Date: June 9, 2014 Rating: 3 stars Source: eARC from NetGalley ***Warning: this is an adult book, and for the eyes of mature readers*** Summary (from Goodreads): She has a plan. He’s about to change it. Regan Wakefield is a headhunter in both name and personality: driven, motivated, and unafraid to pursue what—and who—she wants. Naturally, she’s thrilled when her friend's wedding offers her an opportunity to score Logan McCade, the practically perfect best man. Unfortunately, groomsman Brock McNeil keeps getting in her way, riling her up in the most delicious of ways. But Brock’s smooth southern charm isn't part of the how exactly did they end up having searing-hot sex? Regan may pretend the erotic electricity sparking between them is merely a distraction, but Brock knows better. She refuses to see beyond the devil-may-care façade he presents to the world, while he sees straight through hers. Changing her mind—and getting under her skin—is a challenge he can’t resist. And when he wins, Brock will do whatever it takes to convince Regan that the best man for her is him. What I Liked: A short, fast read that featured a sweet and charming hero, and a prickly and rude heroine. Katee Robert is one of my favorite adult romance authors, but this was not one of my favorite books by her. It's one of her earlier ones, so perhaps it wasn't her best in general? It was okay, but not great. On a positive note, I like this Wedding Dare series. It's compromised of short Brazen novels, written by a different author, but all part of the same story and characters (different hero/heroine per book). This is Regan and Brock's story. Kady and Colton are getting married, and as friends of each, Brock and Regan are there for the wedding. They're part of the wedding, as a groomsmen and a bridesmaid. Regan is a thorny, mean, assertive businesswoman, and Brock is a sweet man who seems like an underachiever - but he isn't. Regan doesn't give Brock the time of day, but the pair has really smoking chemistry. Even though Regan turns him away the first few times, she'll start to realize that maybe she was wrong about Brock. I liked Brock so much. From the start, you can tell that he is a true Southern gentleman, and he isn't using his Southern charm to get in with the ladies. He's a sweet guy with a hint of arrogance and a lot of confidence. He's used to everyone seeing him as the rich, spoiled, lazy second son, but that's because he doesn't correct anyone and he hides who he really is and what he really does. I loved Brock's complexity, and his internal turmoil. This book is so short and yet we see so much of Brock's thoughts and emotions. He's such a great guy too! Chivalrous and very charming, honest and perceptive. Regan... is the reason why this book is getting a so-so rating. So I'll talk about her in the next section. I didn't love the romance between these two, but I thought they had really great chemistry. I didn't like Regan in most of the book, but I thought she was pretty okay in the end. SHE came chasing after him and fighting for him, so that definitely won her a ton of points. Read the rest of my review on my blog, The Eater of Books! - eaterofbooks DOT blogspot DOT com :)

Fantastic! Regan Wakefield knows exactly what and who she wants and Logan McCade will do nicely. So when the the bridesmaids make a dare to do their best to find love she knows exactly who she's going after! Too bad Brogan McNeil is constantly getting in her way and messing with her head. Then ending up in bed with him....again just won't do. He's everything she's not looking for but he plans to change her mind and proves he's just what she needs. I highly recommend this one.

My thoughts: ”Woman you’re as mean as a copperhead. Come here let’s find out if you’re as cold-blooded.” SEDUCING THE BRIDESMAID by Katee Robert is the third erotic romance in the Wedding Dare series. It's a relatively quick read at just 131 pages. All the tales in the Wedding Dare series take place around the wedding of Kady and Colt. Kady and Colt's story was told in Laura Kaye's prequel novella, Dare to Resist. SEDUCING THE BRIDESMAID can be read as a standalone, but the reader's enjoyment will be exponentially increased if the series is read in order as follows: • Dare to Resist by New York Times bestselling author Laura Kaye (prequel) • Falling for the Groomsman by New York Times bestselling author Jen McLaughlin, w/a Diane Alberts (#1) • Baiting the Maid of Honor by New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey (#2) • Seducing the Bridesmaid by New York Times bestselling author Katee Robert (#3) • Best Man with Benefits by USA TODAY bestselling author Samanthe Beck (#4) SEDUCING THE BRIDESMAID is the story of bridesmaid Regan Wakefield and groomsman Brock McNeil.  My full review has been posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club.

Who is seducing who ? loved the banter between these two. From the first book in the series I was NOT liking Regan at all. I got that she's a tough independent chic and all  that. I liked it, but she just came off so nasty to me. With her friends she was kind and caring and the good  girlfriend. When it came to men I judged her as a big old man eater. I went into reading this installment of  the series with no hopes of liking Regan. The first few chapters in I was so mad at her for her treatment of Brock I have to say I almost put the book down frustrated. But I have to say she rallied and got me to like her. I think it started when she began to show her vulnerable side to us. Being afraid of trees and rabid murdering squirrels. Once that happened I really began to enjoy the book and sink my teeth into Regan and Brocks story.   Brock McNeil was just yummy from the start. I always enjoy a smooth charming Southern gentleman and he swept me off my feet for sure. At times his little pity party of daddy doesn't love me got annoying and  I wanted to smack him but I got the feeling his friends felt the same way. When he finally started to realize  that he really didn't have anything to prove to anyone that's when it all turned around for Brock and getting Regan to be his was not so far off.  The sex scenes were steamy and tender even when they both tried to make it all only about sex.  This one had a little bit of slow start for me but I stuck with it and I am glad I did. Even added Brock's brother Cain's story with Regan's friend Addison to my TBR list. Katee Robert definitely had me curious about both those background characters.

Well this review will be short so I can move to the next and final book in the Wedding Dare series...this book moved so slow and I never felt connected to the characters. I didn't even like them until the last chapter and half. The premise behind the series is each bridesmaid is supposed to sleep with a groomsman. But Regan and Brock (not her intended target) always seem to find each other. A whole lot of preconceived notions is what this book boiled down to. This book really was a 2.5 for me until the epilogue then it deserved a 3 just for it alone. If the whole story was written with the reader being connected like the epilogue allowed us to then this book would have been much more enjoyable. I don't see reading this again or recommending it separately from the wedding dare series.

Spicy spitfire Regan Wakefield is ready to get serious about life and the next step. She’s already got the great career and fabulous friends now she needs the one missing piece. A successful and confident man. Real husband material. And if that guy has a name, it’s Logan McCade. If only Brock McNeil would just get the memo. He’s been pestering her since arriving at this destination wedding and trying to convince her that he’s the one for her, not Logan. Fine, she’d give him one night. On her terms. That’s how she did things and with a bit of luck maybe the sweet southern Brock would get her out of his system so she can get back to business in landing husband material. If only her plan didn’t backfire right in her face. After a taste they share that one night Brock makes it even more clear that there’s no way he’s gonna give her up to Logan. Game on… From back in Jen McLaughlin’s story, when we first met Regan, I had loved her. She’s feisty while feminine and sticks it to you before you even realize she’s done it. She is a girl that knows what she wants and will do whatever it takes to get it…all the while wearing kick ass stilettos! She says exactly what’s on her mind and too bad if you can’t keep up. Poor Brock had no idea what he had set his sights on. Luckily he matches her tenacity and won’t give up without a fight. Even when she may push him a bit too far, deep down he knows he’s the right one for her. He just needs a little time to convince her. The push and pull between these two was also a delicious build up to a phenomenal ending. Thank you, Katee, for one hall of a read!

Hot interactions between these two characters make you squirm. She is strong and has a plan. he seems laid back and careless but is he? Some twists and turns along the way but the ending makes up for it. Enjoy.

3.5/5 stars Seducing the Bridesmaid follows the story of Regan and Brock, two very headstrong and determined individuals. Their 'I hate you but I want you' relationship is quite amusing and Katee writes some awesome dialogue between the two. Pacing: I felt the pacing in this one went well. Roberts always writes fast-paced romances and they just seem to work for me. Brock wastes no time in making his interest in Regan clear. And Regan doesn't waste time making her lack of interest clear. He is pretty relentless in his pursuit of her, however, which was fun to watch for awhile. I got pretty annoyed with Regan and her assumptions of him, and I honestly didn't see what the allure was for Brock. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts and Roberts knows how to write some steamy, sexy scenes- but it was harder to get behind these two as a couple because of the way Regan treated him for a good portion of the book. Storyline: Regan has her sights set on Logan McCade, the best man to the groom. Logan is successful, independent, and a decent guy. In short, he's exactly the kind of guy Regan is looking for. She easily dismisses groomsman, Brock McNeill. She believes him to be a lazy playboy, who is catching a ride on his dad's multimillion dollar company train. She couldn't be more wrong if she tried. Brock is actually a good guy who doesn't just ooze Southern charm and money. He may be flirtatious and a bit arrogant, but he's pretty genuine. He wants Regan and the chance to prove to her that he's not all what she thinks. Regan and Brock end up getting involved in a one night, no strings deal and from there, Brock realizes he WILL be the one to crack Regan's tough outer shell. Characters: I really liked Brock. REALLY liked him. Which is why the way Regan treated him, didn't really sit right with me. Regan has a plan and Brock is NOT a part of it. She refuses to deviate from said plan of snagging Logan McCade, and she thinks she's got Brock pegged when she has NO idea of his character- she won't give him the chance to find out more about who he really is. She does start to have all these conflicting thoughts, as she's not really set on Logan- instead she can't stop thinking about Brock. I really wanted to smack Regan quite a bit throughout the book. I get that she's worked hard to get where she is today and people that don't have to lift a finger to have everything really bother her. It does me too. Still, I don't feel these two spent enough time having serious, real conversations to make me buy into their romance. They do have a few tender moments but I guess I just needed more of seeing them together without so much animosity. Regan thinks Brock is the golden child in his family, when really Brock's older brother Caine, is the one who always lived up to his father's expectations, while Brock was always left feeling he came up short. This really does bother Brock and he hates that Regan wants someone like his brother and not him. Once Regan realizes just who Brock is and what he's actually accomplished, she's angry at him for not telling her- but why should he have to? Shouldn't he be enough? Final Thoughts: While I took some issues with Regan and her abrasive nature, this really was a fun read. I always enjoy Roberts' books and the scenarios she creates within them. The banter between Brock and Regan will leave you chuckling one minute and then screaming at them to get their act together the next!

I really enjoyed this third installment in the wedding dare series,  Regan and the other bridesmaids decide at the beginning of the week that they will hook up with certain groomsmen, she decides to after the best man Logan. She ends up with Brock who was hero with a heart of gold. When she realizes what a catch she has, she changes her mind and a happily ever after is had by all.  Regan is a very aggressive heroine, she is direct to the point of being off putting,  Brock is a rich playboy who has a big secret. I enjoyed the entire series and would recommend them all. I was given a free copy for an honest review.

Good Book! Seducing The Bridesmaid by Katee Robert is another awesome addition to the Brazen imprint. This is the third book from the Wedding Dare series and I believe it is the best one yet. The story revolves around the upcoming wedding of Kady and Colton, which is being held at an exclusive resort in Colorado. This book focuses on the relationship between bridesmaid Regan Wakefield, an executive headhunter, and groomsman Brock McNeil, a sexy country boy and charity founder from an extremely wealthy family. Regan is the consummate planner. She tends to never step out of her comfort zone or deviate from what she believes is best for her. When she sets her sights on something or someone, she goes after it with a vengeance. She is smart, gorgeous, hails from New York City and works very hard to be successful. Brock has always played second fiddle to his older brother Caine. Overtime, he has used his father's lack of recognition to sculpt his life. To the outside world, he is just a figurehead in his family's corporate conglomerate, however, he has used his wealth and business acumen to help others through his secretly formed foundation. I really liked how Ms. Robert developed the relationship between Regan and Brock. At first they ignored their attraction, but succumbed to the unbelievable chemistry over a few days time. They are a hot couple in every sense of the word. I loved how this story ended and the epilogue was the icing on the cake. In addition, I loved Julie in this book, because her southern idioms caused some laugh out loud moments. Overall, a great read with two very interesting and exciting primary characters entwined into a plot that I just could not get enough of. Complimentary copy provided by publisher.

Seducing the Bridesmaid is part of the Wedding Dare arc of books that begins with Laura Kaye’s Dare to Resist. In this novel, the bridesmaid in question is Regan the all-business headhunter known to her friends as “She Who Plans and Conquers” - all high heels and determination. The seducer is Brock, one of the groomsmen who is not what he seems, either personally or professionally.       I have to say that as much as I grew to like the book and the characters, it did not start off that way. I found Regan’s behavior in the beginning of the story to be cold, manipulative and off-putting. If a male character had treated a female character the way she treated Brock that first time, I probably would have put the book down and walked away. I kept on because I was intrigued & wanted to see how author Katee Robert would develop this character into a multidimensional person I’d care about and I am very glad that I did. In a very short time, Robert develops both lead characters to become people I both understood and cared about. The novel is well written and well thought out - Well Done!  Now, off the read the rest of the Wedding Dare novels!        I received an e-ARC of Seducing the Bridesmaid through a giveaway on Twitter. The opinions here are mine alone and offered freely.
