About the Author

Judy Hutson started her career as a freelance writer for magazines such as Rock-n-Soul, Spin, and People magazine before entering the music business. Her first venture into the music world was during the fledging years of hip hop music. After being hired as the publicist for the iconic rap group, The Fat Boys, she traveled with them on the historic Fresh Fest tour. During the tour, she worked alongside iconic groups such as Run-DMC, LL Cool J, Kurtis Blow, and many others. This historic tour led to one of the first hip hop movies, Warner Bros. Krush Groove, that Judy worked on with The Fat Boys.

Judy worked with other artists such as Bobby Brown, Jill Scott, Kanye West, and actors such as Lance Reddick, Pam Grier, and Michael Michele. Her experiences and travels have become the muse for the stories she creates. Judy’s debut novel, Spy Notes, centers on a music publicist who becomes a spy to save her friend and stops an international drug ring while on tour with an iconic music artist.
