When you're born without a trace, no one knows you're a weapon.

I lie for her.

I hunt for her.

I kill for her.

And above all, I betray my mission for her.

She doesn't know why. She doesn't care why.

I do.

Treason comes in many forms.

Love is one of them.

Our training taught me to be a sociopath. A machine. A pawn. Nothing more than a tool for a larger goal, without attachments or feelings.

Our teachers forgot one important detail:

Pawns shouldn't have hearts.

Yet we do.

It turns out our emotions are our greatest weapon.

And I know exactly where mine are aimed.

The first in an all-new series by USA Today bestselling author Meli Raine.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I am so excited for this trilogy. I didn't think Ms. Raine could top the previous books, but she did. The suspense, romance, and emotional and political intrigue is so on point, you'd think it was recollection, as opposed to fiction. Everything is outlandish, yet believable, like a conspiracy theory set to novel. The plot and characters draw you in and hold you on the edge while you melt or panic throughout. I can't wait for Traceless!

For honest review. At the compound of stateless where kina (the mule) twin sitter Glen operative and callun the operative all grew up this is their story and lives and what happened nine years after as they find out their true identities and what they will face. Awesome story 10 stars

This is an interesting read full of twists and turns throughout a suspenseful storyline. Keeps you on the edge from the start and is filled with secrets, lies and betrayal. Unique characters help make this book a must read. Look forward to more in this trilogy. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.

I just love Meli Raine’s books. This one did not disappoint. This is a stand alone, but I think you will get more from it if you start with Harmless Little game and read all of the spin-offs in order. If you don’t you will definitely want to after you read this one. As always, I was hooked from start to finish. I loved finding out how they became stateless. I really like these characters and I can’t wait to read the next one. What a cliffhanger!

I must admit it did take me a little while to thoroughly get into this but when I did wow wham bang what a story! Such a chilling scenario! My heart raced several times as the tension rose and the suspense was out the window! So many unexpected twists had me riveted in my seat as I eagerly drank in every word. What an exceptional excellent book. This is the first of a trilogy and I am excited to get the second and third to see how this extremely well written and absorbing story ends. I really enjoyed reading this and highly recommend it to you.

Meli Raine has been on my TBR forever but life has always gotten in the way of me starting any of her series. But, since this is a new one, I decided to dive in. I did feel a little lost about what Stateless is and I wonder if that's because I haven't read any of the interconnected series to this one. Once I finally felt like I understood what was happening, I was totally into this story and couldn't put it down. There's so much suspense that I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, waiting to see what was going to happen. This book ends on a cliffhanger, which isn't usually my jam, but this only made me more excited for book two!!

To see the events of the previous books from the other side of the equation is a bit of a mind bender. It makes for some extremely compelling reading. I can’t comment on how well this book would read as a standalone since I’ve read most of the 15 books that precede it. The trilogies: Breaking Away, Coming Home, Harmless, Shameless, and False each build on the discoveries of the previous and set the stage for what’s to come. I thought I was prepared for what was going to be revealed in this book. I didn’t have the slightest clue. Stateless is a bigger, deeper monster than any previous indications suggested. Callum and Kina’s story is a twisted psychological thriller with terrifying implications about the world at large. There are so many different threads in this book, that I want to pull on each and watch them unravel. Now I’m dying to see what happens next. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

‘The Mission’ is everything!! Stateless is the first book in a new trilogy in the same world as the “Harmless’ and “False’ series were. It’s a compelling book that’s hard to put down. It was captivated from the outset. Glen and Kina are identical twins, who have lived a mysterious life at ‘the compound’. They’ve been there all their life as far as they know. As they grew older, they believed they were stronger together but it Kina and the girls’ lifelong best friend Callum who have an unbeatable connection. All three, along with everyone else are being trained for one thing only… The Mission. What is The Mission though, and what happens when your beliefs are tried and found wanting? What if those you trusted most were the ones to betray you? Endanger those you loved? Callum and Kia are the central characters, there are others from the previous series. Most notably, Romeo. Callum is a good guy, through and through. He strong and independent and he protects those he loves. This is a dual POV story, and swings from past to present, most is in the past working up to the here and now. We get to see these characters grow into the people they will be, in an emotional roller-coaster of a story. This is the start of another masterpiece of twisted, suspense-filled trilogy. Can’t wait for Traceless.

Book one in the trilogy features Callum and Kina. It took me a few pages to understand the characters because this is a continuation of Meli Raine's previous series. It's really good. I read the whole thing in one sitting. Lots of action, suspense and plot twists. Can't wait to see how things play out in the next two books!!!!

I love Meli Raine's books...Julia Kent's as well!!! With that said this book falls into that "love" as well. It starts giving us some insight into Stateless prior to her other books, her False, Harmless and Shameless series. It shows us how they are trained to be emotionless, soldiers and to cause chaos!!! In this first book in the series we see Romeo and Callum again and we meet Kina and her twin sister Glen.. Kina is called "the mule" and told that she isn't strong not worth anything. Callum sees her differently he knows that she is strong..the connection they have is strong..something they keep a secret from others...Stateless would see it as weak!! This book is full of suspense, mystery, asking yourself who can you trust and what will happen to the world if Stateless acutally takes over. This book makes reference to characters in her other series and reading this book clearly makes somethings from those books make more sense...this however can be read as a standalone. I can not wait for the next book in this series...I want to thank Meli Raine for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book prior to it's release.

The first in this new series and let me just say “WOW”! This is another link in the chain of the previously published series’ and the wagons are circling. What happens when corrupt, greedy, rich, powerful people decide to grab children and train them to be single minded, soulless, killing machines, placing them in or close to positions of power. This is the first book and does end on a bit of a cliffhanger. Don’t miss this one!

Stateless is an absolutely stunning psychologically twisted masterpiece that will leave you dizzy and viewing the world through an off color and stilted mirror. Nothing will be left intact and the new normal is so terrifying that you will never look at another person the same again. If you think your mind can be a cold and horror filled trap at times, that is nothing compared to your new reality. There are no real humans walking around; only mindless drones who aggressively push forward a devastating agenda that will leave you utterly chilled to the bone and petrified by its efficient ruthlessness. When your greatest enemy wears the face of your friend, how can even hope to fight a brutal evil that is ready to eviscerate you and anyone you love? Kani is a peculiarity. She has found a way to survive in an impossible world. She has refined her ability to fly under the radar to a razor sharp edge. In a world where nothing is as it seems, she is something altogether new and completely undiscovered. Callum shares this same world with Kani, but he is even more unique than she. He sees the world in perfect duality. His training gives him purpose and drive, and yet there is something even more askew then his mission. When Callum finds himself inspired to stand up and advocate for a fellow classmate, he must decide where his loyalty lies. In a world where love is replaced with a heartless pursuit of cold precision, and mercy is a word never taught, does survival mean anything when life is orchestrated by the whims of silent over lords? I thought I knew what stateless was all about, but this book proved that I knew absolutely nothing. This story opened my eyes to a world that I can neither comprehend nor have any bit of respect for. This is a world that is a pure concentration of all forms of evil of this world stuffed into one tightly knit and well-oiled stronghold. Pure malevolence exudes from these pages and left my blood cold and my mind in a state of self-preservation. I was truly left in blissful awe as I watched these beautifully broken and wonderfully wounded souls struggle to find some sick semblance of normal. My heart bled for their struggle which is just starting. You can’t uproot well established evil without immense pain, ultimate betrayal, and irrevocable damage. Prepare for the unexpected, but don’t count out love and hope. Meli Raine has exceeded and raised all of my expectations when it comes to a romantic suspense that will jump start your heart and shock your mind into a whole new experience. I thought that all of her previous trilogies were beautifully outstanding, but they have led us to this latest trilogy that has proven without a doubt to be a ruthless masterpiece that truly sets the bar to a whole new dimension. This is the gold standard for all phenomenal romantic suspense. Everyone should read Meli Raine at least once in order to experience her stunning brilliance and captivating creativity!

Stateless is the newest spin-off from the Harmless, Shameless and False trilogies.  The first few chapters are set prior to the other books, with the events of the later chapters occuring alongside Lindsay, Jane and Lily's stories.  This book gives greater detail to the whole concept of the 'Stateless', mentioned throughout the other books. It outlines the bizarre training they are put through to be able to infiltrate certain areas in the outside world.  Callum and Kina are the main characters in this book, both Stateless but set on very different paths by the people in charge. Kina is not sure who she can trust, as everyone seems to have their own agenda. All she can see is that she is not safe staying where she is.  This book didn't initially draw me in like the other ones did, but I felt it got more intriguing as it went along. I look forward to reading part two and seeing where the characters go from here.

Stateless - Meli Raine ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meli Raine has done it again with this starter to her new series. A brilliantly crafted story with every hallmark of a twisted political thriller but with so much more. Her characters are brilliantly developed and draw the reader into their world and an intriguing plot full of suspense, romance and the quintessential intrigue we’ve grown to love from Meli Raine. Meli Raine has definitely set the standard for this genre and this series will be everything we’ve come to appreciate from her work. More in the series coming and I can’t wait to get my teeth into the next episode.
