Overview

Storm by Carian Cole, CJ Bloom

I felt the wind rustle, warning me, telling me to get out of its path-but I didn't. I never stood a chance.

A series of weather and road mishaps leave me trapped in the middle of a blizzard with a complete stranger. In the back of a pickup truck. For forty-eight freakin' hours.

A stranger with long hair, tattoos, and rippling with muscle.
A stranger with an insanely sexy voice and a wicked smile that turned my insides to jelly.
A stranger who held me in his arms, calmed me, and then set a fire in me that I couldn't put out.

Some people chase storms for the beautiful thrill. What happens when the storm chases you?Contains mature themes.

Storm by Carian Cole is the first book in her Ashes & Embers series. A romantic tale of a tattooed rock star and an unassuming, unaware damsel in distress. Storm has quite literally almost crashed into one of the few people who has no idea who he is. In the middle of a snow storm he rescues Evelyn after her car crashes only to have his truck run off the road too. A very frightened Evie and Storm spend a couple of days stranded in his truck waiting out the storm and their bond is forged. A beautiful story about shaking up your life and not settling for the ordinary just because it's comfortable. A very beautiful romantic tale that will simultaneously steam you panties right off.

Storm and Evelyn meet when she crashes on the side of the road on her way to a business meeting.  Storm rescues her and then, unfortunately, his truck crashes and they are stuck together for 2 days in his truck.  Storm and Evelyn get to know each other and, although Evelyn makes some quick assumptions about Storm based upon his looks, she realizes there is more to him.  Storm is fascinated by Evelyn and is intrigued to find someone who doesn't know who he is and he can be real with her.  When the 2 days are over, Storm finds himself drawn to Evelyn and he goes about making her see that they belong together.  Evelyn has been in a relationship with Michael for 12 years (since they were 14 years old) and is somewhat clueless as to how he treats her and uses her.  Evelyn finally gets her eyes opened and comes to realize that maybe Michael isn't as faithful to her as she has thought.  There were lines crossed between Storm and Evelyn that I considered to be cheating and I was upset that Evelyn didn't just break up with Michael instead of continually crossing the boundaries with Storm.  When it all comes to a head, Evelyn learns about how Michael really has felt about her and she makes real life changes.  Storm was patient and integrated himself into Evelyn's life by showing her what they could have.  We learn of the tragic past that Storm had with his first love and that made it all the more heartbreaking at how long it took him to get Evelyn to get her head on straight and give them a shot.  It was well done and had a good ending.  I will definitely read the next book in this series.

For Storm to be Carian Cole's debate book... It's a MUST READ!!! I was very impressed to say the least! Well written and HOT!! Page turner and had to put down once you start! Believe me, there were a couple times I would tell myself one more page and would find myself four of five pages past. If you haven't read this one yet, I would recommend that you grab yourself a copy! *Received for an honest review*

We were going on vacation and I was looking for a good book to take. My daughter in law suggested this book. She said it was great and she was right. I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. It is well written and is a great story. I can't wait for the next book "Vandal" to come out!

Its an electric whirlwind of emotion. Frightened, out in a blizzard, stranded and along comes tall, tattooed, and handsome but can he really save the day? All he wanted was peace and quiet and what does he get but a crazed , scared woman who becomes more than he ever bargained for. Fear, death, love, lust consume not only the dynamic characters of this book but will find a way to weave its web around the reader until you cant walk away but most tie together every delicate thread between Storm and Evie. Once you start you wont be able to put it down.

Storm and Evie meet in a snow storm and are stuck together for 48 hours. In that 48 hours a relationship is born; they both have issues and circumstances they must grow out of and let go. But in the process they find love. They patience and perseverance of Storm is inspiring, and Evie's courage to face her fears makes you hope... Together their love is... beautiful.

I can’t even tell you how I stumbled upon this book.  I can tell you the cover is gorgeous, and story itself is wonderful.  Charming, funny, heartfelt, and all those things that make you just dig in and have your heart melting.  Had I realized this was a Rock Star romance I don’t think I would have bothered; it isn’t a genre I typically like.  However, I was enraptured with Storm.  I think because it starts with Evie having no idea who Storm is, and she doesn’t find out until much later in the story.  Hell, the readers don’t find that out until Evie, we think he is a custom bike guy.  What we do know is, their chemistry is off the charts, and Evie is such a neurotic mess it’s cute. I loved every minute of Storm: Ashes & Embers, Book ; I think CJ Bloom did a suburb job as a narrator.  I am looking forward to more audiobooks in this series, and more audiobooks from her....Sara

5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, betrayal, grief, suspense, and heartbreak. This is Evelyn and Storm’s story. One chance meeting in a storm will change these two forever. Storm wanted some alone time but ended up with Evelyn instead. After spending 2 days in his truck during a storm she thought she would just want to run from him but the time they spend together makes her realize some things in her life are lacking. She wants Storm but is in a relationship and will not cheat. What happens when everything you thought you knew for years has been a lie? Can Storm get Evelyn to believe in him? If her normal man turned out so bad how can she trust a man who gets hit on all the time? I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

This book was recommended to me by another author. I went into not even reading the description. All I can say is that I could not put the book down. The dynamics between Storm and Evelyn are amazing. The pull and tug and sexual tension are unlike most books that I usually read.

This book started off good. But it was a little slow and written is a way that was a little unbelievable. I was looking for this knock down love story and this wasn't it. I struggled to finish it.

Page 11 and I'm done.  She is just so very annoying.  Screaming, idiotic comments, demands on a man she just finished insulting, and topping it all off with the oh-so mature making faces at his retreating back.  I gave it 2 stars as kudos to Storm for not leaving her in the blizzard.  I sure as heck would have.  Not even interested to see were this story goes.
