Brenna Battle and her younger sister Blythe move to a small town on the Washington coast to get a fresh start. Their plan is to open a judo school for kids. Their first night in town, a local Lothario is killed, and Blythe's hairbrush seems to be the murder weapon. Are they being set up? In trying to free Blythe, Brenna gets in trouble too. This is a cozy mystery with romance but no lurid sex scenes, and no swear words. It is a short book, and a quick read. There are plenty of characters who had something against the murder victim. The ending seems a bit rushed, and there are a few loose ends. Good for some light reading.

Perfect, light hearted mystery to read in an afternoon. Moves quickly while keeping you guessing the villain.

I am not usually a fan of them. Most tend to be rather silly but this one was free and it was actually pretty entertaining. I might try another by this author when I am in the mood for a light, easy read.
