Love all Reines books....they all fit into the same world. Rylie and her wolves are bad ass!

Very enjoyable reading. Combines werewolves, demons, angles, and humans with individuals in each group not as usually seen. This the first 3 books in the series. After reading these you will want to continue the rest. This is a good read for most with no sex and little bad language. Enjoy!

The first two books of the set were interesting and an enjoyable read. I am currently reading the Preternatural Affairs series by Sara Reine and have enjoyed those books so I wanted to delve further into her world. This series appears to take place well after the Preternatural Affairs series and will provide some spoilers to previous series if you haven't read them yet. Book 1, Sacrificed in Shadow was fun, much like the Preternatural Affairs books. Elise Kavanagh is still learning how to cope with her new abilities and dealing with the betrayal of her former lover. Sacrifice in Shadow delves into the realm of werewolves, angels and demons. Book 2, About Oaths of Blood, expands on the events of book 1. Rylie and the werewolves are back and we see the humanity of the lead Alpha, Rylie. Searching for a killer, the truth behind the murders is far more alarming than the murders themselves. We get to see how good an Alpha werewolf can be in a fight. Book 3, Ruled by Steel, takes you to hell. Elise Kavanagh is trying to save humanity. In order to do this, she must take over Hell, specifically the city of Dis. The tensions of Rylie's decision that caused the death of a good friend haunt the young werewolf as she deals with the repercussions of the second book. The first two books I would give 3.5 stars, while the third 2.5. For some reason Ruled by Steel wasn't as enjoyable for me. If you enjoy SM Reine's books, I would say read this series, but save it for the end, after the events of Reno. ~Author Kevin Moldenhauer

This book had the potential to be a great book. I love fantasy and ScFi, but it was a little too far fetched for me. I made myself finish reading the first book just to see if it improved, it didn't. What didn't appeal to me is saying God was trapped and that Adam was God. Changing my religious beliefs even in reading a book just doesn't do it for me. Turned me off.
