A good idea that needs more development. The thought hearing the tale through the Beast's standpoint pulled me into this freebie. Yes, this means I did misread the overview. The characters aren't developed at all. We are immediately thrown into the story. If you don't know the classic tale then go rent the Disney movie or google it. If you don't you will be lost. The author isn't clear on the timeline of everything. The reader is left pretty unclear on many details of this take on a classic tale. The idea of the story is quirky and fun. The detailed sex scene and cursing really isn't needed. I'm so sick of stories using sex scenes for a quick cheap sell. Give me more of the story not a stupid cheap porn thrill. The idea for a good story is there. The author seemed afraid to develop a good round story. If you have a half hour for a quick read go ahead. Just overlook the flaws. This book really could use a pulling and a rewrite.

It was a quick read but not always easy. I found the pronoun/tense switch ups a tad distracting. It was a storyline that could have easily been expanded and detail filled in for a more colorful read. Felt like a rough first draft.

I liked having the twists. It made it more adult. Yes, there is some swearing and sexual scenes, but nothing as bad as shows on HBO or Showtime.

Nice version on a classic tale.

I must say although I enjoyed this, there is still a lot to be desired. A little rough around the edges, and more attention to other details in the story would have made it better. Not sure why other reviews are stating about sexual scenes as there was only one and it's more 'implied' then written. Not bad but needs more work.

Interesting twist on Beauty and the Beast. Could have been a little longer, but all in all not bad.

Every rendition, be it rated G, PG or R, follows the same basic plot: Beauty hates the Beast, then feels sorry for him, then loves him as he's fallen in love with her. Beauty then redeems the Beast, brakes his curse, he becomes a handsome prince and they live Happily Ever After. While this author stays true to the original formula; the fresh look and new ride this author takes you on is no less than amazing. I absolutly enjoyed reading this book.

I enjoyed the authors twist to the age ole story of Beauty and the Beast. If you like a little twist to well known story this story is for you. It was free so I gave it a try, and glad I did.

Great new and different take on the classic tale. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, though the last few pages disappointed me. The final solution to the Beast's dilemma seemed contrived, a deus ex machine solution given that no hint of those characters appeared previously. Still, it's a great book. The original story (not the Disney version) has strong sexual, even kinky undertones given the situation. Donnelly handles this appropriately and well.

As much as I liked the story, I had to use previous know of the fairy tale to fill in the gaps.
