How far would you go to save the life of a loved one? Desperate times call for desperate measures ... Trying desperately to save her mother who is dying from stage-four cancer, nineteen year old English office temp Lana Bloom must find fifty-thousand pounds to pay for an experimental cancer treatment in the United States. But after exhausting all available avenues, she's left with selling herself to the highest bidder. Fortunately for Lana, the highest bidder turns out to be American billionaire banker Blake Barrington. For three months Blake will have exclusive rights to Lana. Lana will abide by Blake's cold and calculating rigorous rules, and she is never to speak of the relationship once it is done. By day Blake introduces Lana to a glamorous world full of Aston Martin's, champagne, and exclusive restaurants. By night he uses her body however he wishes. Ownership turns to interest, which turns into something close to love. But as the days tick away, Blake and Luna face challenges from the confines of their arrangement, Blake's powerful and controlling family, a jealous rival, and an act of God. Can Blake and Lana's arrangement turn into a permanent love relationship, or will fate step in the way? Will Lana be able to walk away from the arrangement with her heart intact? The Billionaire Banker is a sexy and intriguing contemporary erotic romance story that delves deep into hidden secrets and dark pleasures. This deliciously steamy tale about two very different people who are brought together by desperate measures is very well written and fast-paced, it easily draws the reader in from the start and holds them captive and guessing what will happen next, only to leave them wanting more with a frustrating cliffhanger ending. This isn't your everyday normal erotic romance novel, it is so much more than that ... it is full of riveting twists and turns, drama, lust, passion, secrets, emotions, and angst interwoven within a societal have-have not boundaries of a classic Romeo and Juliet relationship that completely sucks the reader into Blake and Lana's story. A girl who needs help and a hero who is conflicted, can their love survive from all the insurmountable obstacles and transcend from everything that stands in their way? Ugh ... the agony of waiting for the answers to all my questions will have to wait until they are revealed in the second book of the series, Forty 2 Days, that will be published on January 24, 2014. The Billionaire Banker is a powerfully emotional, stunning, and sexy read that is full of angst and intrigue interwoven with sensuality and passion that will simply take your breath away and leave you wanting more.

It all started so simple....LOL It amazes me how naive Lana really is going into all of this. It's so crazy thinking that her "good deed" would turn into such a huge ordeal.  I personally would have done the same thing in her shoes. I would have done my hair, borrowed shoes, and a dress, however I would have done a better check on the man I was going to try to sale myself to. What a piece of poop!!! OMG!!! I know things were horrid but even some lines need to be drawn. I was stand-offish with Blake.....he was just like as he said .....dressing his new doll....playing with his doll.....Only problem... He was changing the rules, he was falling in love with his doll and not getting tired of her. I enjoyed how detailed the author made all the scenes from shopping to eating , right down to descriptive sex scenes....passionate and forth coming. Well worth reading. As with every great story the twists are bound to happen and turns aren't as pretty as when things just start to move forward and feelings start to exchange....and we are left with a cliff-hanger!!!! URGH!!!!

This book took a while for me to really warm up to.  It’s compelling from the start, but the world that’s painted by the author is a little dark.  The villain in the very beginning, Rupert, is truly sick and twisted and it just broke my heart.  And that’s only the beginning!  Blake is a mystery.  He’s got his moments, such as having enough of a conscience to worry about her with Rupert, but he’s largely just selfish and cold.  I can only think that Lana is naïve, but very brave. I suppose the world of the rich could that’s portrayed in this story could be true, but man is it appalling.  Victoria is truly a viper and sets in motion some heartbreaking events – and the ending?!  Talk about a cliffhanger!  I was actually briefly angry with the author (good naturedly so, I promise) until I realized when the next installment was due out.  I can wait less about a month if I have to. A story that has a few predictable moments, but mostly just keeps you guessing, The Billionaire Banker will slowly burrow into your brain until you can’t stop reading.  You will think you know where it’s going, but you’ll only ever be partly right as surprises pop up, especially towards the end!  This page turner held me riveted and I recommend it to any fan of the genre!

Lana will do anything to help her mother who has cancer. If it means selling her self so be it. Things begin to look up when she gets proposition by a sexy rich man. It means the nasty man she first approached doesn't get her. She is in no way prepared for Blake Barrington. He is rich, sexy and hard not to fall for. He gives her new things money and all she has to do is be his for 3 months. She soon learns the rich have a dark side as well. She will have to leave eventually but she knows now she will walk away leaving her heart behind. Lana is inexperienced but she knows she will do anything for her mom. She is a very caring woman who really touches all those around her. She may be a poor person but she never lets getting some money go to her head. She will do anything to make Blake happy and for his own good. Blake at times can seem cold but you can tell he is a good guy. He just has had a hard upbringing in the fact his family is cold. I love how he is with Lana's mom. I really enjoyed this book as it may sound similar to others it is well written and while sex is a part of the book you still have a great story. You really end up liking Lana and Blake. You want them together even if you know it can't be. The author does a great job showing both sides of the rich and the poor. You get a look into both main characters lives. I also loved Billie. She adds her own flair to the story. Instead of Lana just having a life revolving around Blake she also has her own life. I love the scene where Blake tries to cook. I think I began to fall for him myself there. If your looking for a well written sexy story pick this one up and be prepared to really want the next book. The ending has me wanting to know what next so bad.

Great first book. This book has it all. It’s the first in the series and has a great story, characters such as the heroine Lana, full of courage, raw emotion, love and most importantly hope. And Blake, rich, devilishly mysterious and sexy who is already fast becoming one of my favourite male characters. You will fall in love with these characters and pray they will get their happily ever after. Can’t wait for January for book two!

A classic classic damsel-in-distress story with a contemporary twist. Lana’s family is anything but well off, and her mother’s cancer has progressed to the point that without experimental treatment, she will certainly die — and soon. So Lana makes the rash but reasonable (under these dire circumstances) decision to trade herself for the money needed to save her mother. Things just don’t go exactly as planned. The man to whom she’s offered herself is twisted and cruel, and while she knows she’ll agree to anything to save her mother, she’s faced with what is surely the worst case scenario. Enter her knight in shining armor. Blake makes rich people look poor. He’s from old money, the kind of money that quietly runs the entire world’s economy, and when he sees a young woman looking entirely out of place with a lecherous, deviant man, he finds himself unexpectedly coming to her rescue. He’s no saint, though, and in exchange for doubling the first man’s offer, he wants Lana for himself. What happens next is… Well, it’s why I read romance novels. Lana’s in dire straits. Blake is the dark, troubled, conflicted hero capable of so much good but trapped in a world of apathy and privilege. Their sex-only agreement can’t possibly remain just that. They’re both falling, and they’re both bound by their agreement and separated by the invisible but very real chasm society has placed between them. They’re Romeo and Juliet with a lot more between-the-sheets action and a lot less naiveté. Lana might be innocent, but she’s not blind to the harsh realities of life. Blake, privy to a much darker side of being rich, isn’t self-loathing but simply resigned to his fate. Of course, you know what they say about the course of true love, right? But... The second book isn’t coming out till January? What the hell?!? I might die before then. Perhaps I’d be allowed to read over the editor’s shoulder. Maybe? Please? It’s a matter of life and death. I’m sure I can get a doctor’s note attesting to that. TheVerdict... I went into this story thinking I knew exactly what to expect. Of course they’re going to be all perfect for each other and fall in love and overcome whatever wicked witch or ex-girlfriend or metaphoric fairy tale darkness that is thrown at them. And sure, that’s what I got… I think… Well, I guess the next book will tell. In the meantime, the writing is intelligent and witty, with just the right amount of every day normal as a background to the inevitable angst. But where the premise is common, the delivery most certainly isn’t. It would have been easy to rush the characters into a happily ever after, to create that perfect fate far too soon, but the characters aren’t overly insightful or perfect, they can’t just ignore society’s expectations, and falling headlong into happily ever after isn’t so easy. I need to figure out how to add a sixth star to our rating system. That is how stuck on this story I am. Is it fine literature? Probably not. But it’s everything I ever loved about romance stories. And if you know anything about me, you know I don’t get all girly over…well, over much of anything, really. But this story has all the classic pieces — girl who needs to be saved… conflicted hero… seemingly insurmountable obstacles… love that can transcend all that. Despite my assumptions about the story and the characters, they surprised me, and the story completely pulled me in… Seriously gonna die here. Is it January yet?
