About the Author

Soph Tang is a queer indie author who left behind a career in cognitive science research to chase stories instead of citations. Since 2020, she's been writing the kinds of books that make you feel too much and maybe cry a little.
Her debut dark-fantasy novel, Osea, launched in July 2024 to overwhelming praise. Just seven months later, she followed it with Decadence—a haunting, poetic, and painfully romantic contemporary lesbian novel released on Valentine’s Day 2025. Critics and readers alike have praised Soph’s work for its devastating prose, unforgettable characters, razor-sharp dialogue, and deeply human storytelling.
