The Borough of Riska 1937 - 1945

When I was five years old, my mother and I went to Riska in 1937. We went to visit bestemor (grandmother). As the war years went on, I often thought about what our lives would have been like had we stayed. As I researched facts about the five years the Germans occupied Norway, I learned a lot about that terrible time.
What I have recounted is historical and a bit fictional.
