About the Author

Ciaran Nagle lives in Buckinghamshire, England with his wife and son. His working career began as a police inspector in Hong Kong but he went on to enjoy a successful sales career with GE and other US companies in Britain.
He enjoys cooking, walking, history and great church sermons.

As a Buddhist, I approached Ciaran Nagle's book with considerable doubts as it really does deal with Heaven and Hell, the existence of which are subjects for discussion! Nevertheless I was able to set this aside as the quality of the writing and the way that the author played with the characters, part horror, part humour, part human worldliness, drew me in until I found myself absorbed in the story. I was very reluctant to turn off the bedside light and go to sleep before I had finished it.

This is the best book I have read for a very long time. In terms of originality, "The Code War" is right up there with the most creative books in the language. On one level it is a well-paced and exciting crime thriller, acted out over three continents. On the other, it provides a fascinating and often amusing vision of the next dimension of our existence, which is highly inventive and yet all very plausible and thought-provoking. I'm a voracious reader and I usually finish a book in a couple of weeks. I absolutely loved this book and I finished it in one week. Any free moment was good to read just a couple of pages. Now it's two week since I finished the book and sometimes I'm still thinking about Nancy, Jabez (the angel) and Kodrob (the demon). I found the pace, characters and story spot-on. The book was incredibly enjoyable for me, and I would definitely recommend this book to all.

Part fantasy, part action adventure and part philosophy, this thought-provoking and intelligent book is a real page-turner as the action shifts between the heavenly realms and the subject of their celestial battles in the UK, Middle East and Far East. The action rarely lets up.

I read this book in 3 days straight. To me, that is what makes a great book.
The tension just keeps building via multiple narrative streams and timelines. I was deeply involved in the story and I needed to continue reading to know what is gonna happening to Nancy. Which will be the next letter in the code? Would the angels be able to break it?
It's a most enjoyable read and I can't wait to read the next book of the author.
