Great story with a nice twist on some awesome lore. Could get a little overall mushy and romantic for my taste at times, especially near the end, but it was tasteful and also cute. I enjoyed it mostly for the fantasy themes. It's worth a read if you have spare time and enjoy fantasy and romance genres wrapped in with some awesome, sexy Norse gods.

What an amazingly different story, I cannot find the words to describe just how much I this book. Ull will always be my book boyfriend The story has just about everything I love in a romance novel. Ull & Kristia have some interesting things to overcom, after all dating the god of winter is kind of differant. I liked the way the story developed. this book really made the myth's come alive for me. Book 2 Endre, here I come. You often read a second book and walk away disappointed, that is NOT the case here. The second book is as good as the first if not better. Ull is an unbelievable man, I mean god. The God of Winter is romantic, sexy, sweet and protective. Kristia is sweet, brave and as protecitve of Ull and Asgard as they are of her. Surprises in the first book are expanded upon in the second. It is so hard for me not to give away some of this story, but i really think you should read it for your self. You too will want Ull for your forever book boyfriend and will fall in love with all the Norse Gods, even Odin. This series has captured my imagination and my heart. Give it a read, you will love it too. What am amazing book. Gods & Goddesses, Faithful friends & bitter enemies. Good vs Evil. I cannot get enough of this series. I would love to read more about some of the other characters we have met & Ardis needs her HEA what ever that might be. Five stars for this truly exciting book. It is so hard to not give away the story. Read it you won't be sorry

I love this series. The developing relationship between Ull and Krisita is deep and both are strong and independent. I bought this box set to get them all at once as well as the novella, Tur. Seeing the relationship through Inga between herself, Gunnar, and Ull was insightful. Tur gives great background onto other characters and set a beautiful tone for the entire series.

Overall a sweet and exciting series that links the norse gods with the human realm. Here are my reviews book by book... Tur: A short, but vivid outside view into the Elsker saga. Having read all the Elsker saga books, which are narrated from Kristia's point of view, it was interesting to get a distinctly different perspective from Inga. This novella took less than an hour to read, with the help that the characters are already more or less developed in the other books. Nonetheless, in its few pages, S.T. Bende was able to bring Inga's personality--slightly more catty, fierce and lascivious than Kristia's--in the fight scenes with her boys, her stand-offs with Odin and her tangy romance with Gunnar. Inga also gives a view into Asgard, showing the exciting daily lives and vicious politics of Ms Bende's Norse gods and goddesses. If you have read/are reading the Elsker saga, I recommend this book; it's quick read, and well worth seeing the Elsker world from another point of view. And if you haven't read the Elsker saga, this short, fun introduction to S.T. Bende's work will suck you in. Elsker: Kristia is an awkward, small-town girl from Nehalem, Oregon. With encouragement from her sassy friend Ardis, she attempts her first adventure away from home: study abroad at Cardiff University in Wales, where no one knows about her crazy visions. What starts out being a big step for her soon turns into one of her typical stumbles at the unexpected romance with the hot, detached Norse, Ull Myhr. It is a surprise for both of them when she stumbles straight into his heart. The surprise for Kristia? Her mythology class isn't so mythical. And for Ull? He's surprised to find himself allowing (wanting) someone else in his complicated life. This first book in the Elsker Saga is a whirlwind introduction to Norse mythology, which I always enjoy, with little bits of Norwegian adding some authenticity to the tales. Although their interactions were sweet, I had a bit of a hard time accepting the rapid tumble the main characters take into each other's lives (instalove). Besides this, the main characters are well-developed. Written from Kristia's point of view, it's quite easy to share her sudden, overwhelming emotions and to empathize with her decision-making struggles, whereas Ull retains a mysterious quality that intrigues. S.T. Bende writes with vivid, clear descriptions and a dramatic, fluid plot that alternates between very rapid and a bit slow but nonetheless kept me engaged throughout. But be warned! Have the second book ready, because with such a cliffhanger, you'll be wishing you had Kristia's visions to know what the fate of the couple and their worlds will be... Endre: The second in the Elsker series seems to be more of a transition than a story in itself. A little slower than the first book, in Endre we follow Kristia as she acclimates her life with Ull, and all that being with a Norse god entails with a lot of focus on the interactions between the couple--and those who try to hinder their being together. Tro: The last in the Elsker series weaves around Ragnarok. The first half of the book is a little slower, swoon-worthy romance of the hotness that is Norse god of Winter, Ull Myrh. The second half is heart-pounding of a different kind: all action. The imagery in these scenes which take place in various realms was well described by S.T. Bende and although the ending feels a little rushed, it's a good conclusion to a great series.

I love these books! The story of Ull and Kristia is so sweet! It drew me in from the very begining. There is plenty of laughter and its a beautifully written clean read. The Norse Gods in this series will keep you on your toes and wanting more! S.T. Bende is great at keeping you hooked and making the characters feel real! So real in fact that on my last road trip I purposely planned it so that I could visit Kristia home town! Can't wait for more!
