Before reading this book, I did not know what an alkaline diet was. But now I do! This book went over what it was, and included a nice selection of recipes. A lot of them were interesting and weren't what my family is interested in, but we tried some. The tips and nutritional facts included with each recipe were helpful. I was truly clueless as to what a Alkaline diet was but thanks to this book I am now fully versed in what it is. I do feel that this is a very informative book. It gives different recipes for different health issues which I think is awesome. Nothing in the book seems difficult to make even for beginners.

I had no idea what an alkaline diet was until reading this book. The book discussed what it is and helped me understand it. The recipes were quite interesting, not something my family would eat normally. But we did try a few and found they weren't horrible, but definitely not our style. I like that each recipe included a tip and nutritional facts. While this book is interesting, I probably won't adapt to this lifestyle fully. I do know now, however, how to eat in a very healthy manner. I had never heard of this type of diet before reading this book, and I'll definitely keep it in mind as I go about my daily life and eat.

The Essential Alkaline Cookbook is great for those trying to be healthier. I like how they have the recipes labeled for thyroid issues, kidney issues and immunity issues. That way you can pick recipes that may help you with an area of your diet you are trying to focus on. The book also gives a great 30 day meal plan based on those three areas too. I'm a fairly good cook and when I review the recipes none of them look too complicated that the average cook would have issues with. It's a great book to add to your collection if you are trying to improve your health or looking for some new tasty recipes.

I'm not a great eater so I found this book pretty interesting. It is based on eating a diet catered the acid-alkaline levels in our bodies. It also talks about how important pH is and how our eating habits cause us to be more acidic. This can cause numerous problems like heartburn and disease. It has vibrant photos and easy to follow charts. My favorite is the smoothie section which I plan to try all of and although I don't think I could follow this diet fully, I enjoy having these healthier alternatives to give a try.

If you suffer from indigestion like I do this is the book for you. It offers many different 30 day meal plans depending on your personal wants, and the recipes for them. This book breaks it down very well and makes it an easy diet to follow.

While I didn't really know much about the Alkaline Diet until I read this cookbook, but I was excited to learn more about it. This book has 150 recipes for helping keep you healthy and bring balance back to your body. along with a 30 day meal plan to help support your immune system  This book is great for anyone who wants to get back to the basics of eating while maintaining a healthy body.

This is an interesting book,i had never heard of the alkaline diet before,but at the very beginning of the book it explains very clearly what it is all about The recipes are not something I would personally cook but some of them sound good.If you are vegan this book will come in handy since all its recipes exclude animal products.It includes three separate meal plans thyroid,kidney and immune and they each have a 30 day meal plan to keep you on track.

Great recipe ideas! I thought this was a great cookbook for people like me who love meal planning. I'm following the immunity-boost plan in this book and love it. I also like how all the recipes show if they are kidney support, thyroid support or immunity boost, or all three. Great info.

Good for someone wanting to follow the alkaline diet.  I was happy to learn more about alkaline and acidic foods, but I do not like diets that eliminate a lot of food options.  I prefer a "everything with moderation" method.

This is a really awesome book for dieting. It not only offers recipes but it breaks it down into meal plans for specific needs. There is one for immunity boost, kidney support, and thyroid support. It has a guide that shows what foods are good foods and what to avoid. It explains why you need to watch the PH of the foods that you are putting into your body, and the benefits of doing so. I think that It would be great for those that are actively dieting and anyone who has some kind of thyroid or kidney issue, or a reason to be preventative about those diseases. Good book and some really yummy recipes.

I just read this book out of curiosity, and I now know that an alkaline diet is also low sodium, low sugar, low fat, and high fiber. What I did not know is that eating this way could also be delicious! This would be a great cook book for some one who needs recipes in this category for healthy eating. The recipes sound delicious and I bet they are tasty! There are 30 day plans included which can either boost immunity, thyroid or kidney health. I am reading the kindle version and there are no photos. Perhaps there are photos in the book.
