The Honeys Club: Friendship Between a Group of Elderly African-Americans and a White Student

When my professor introduced me to Iva Mathews "Mama", he told me that my life would never be the same. How right he was! These black women had never had a white friend and I had never had so many aunts. This story is about our adventures together. We sang; we cried; we loved; we laughed.
Some would say this connection was a win-win. I would call it heaven sent.
