FYI This is the Light Novel (Mainly text with occasional pictures) This...this is an excellent story. The main character Minoru is really fleshed out and the villain is one of the most sadistic and twisted characters I have read about in a light novel. But, what really separates this from all the other light novels I've read is the shift in perspective throughout the story. You get the story told from Minoru and the Biters view. It really adds context behind the motives of both characters as they struggle with their own emotional traumas. I really recommend this one and as always, yen press did a good job on the translation. I found less typos in this book than I do in Sci-Fi and Fantasy novels originally written in English. The book I picked up was also in hard cover for a nice added touch. Lastly, I really hope the author keeps up the shift in perspective in the next volume. Really adds a nice personal touch to a villian you would otherwise despise without knowing their motives and background.
