About the Author

Skye MacKinnon is a USA Today Bestselling author with a slight obsession with bunnies, dried mango and Scotland. And when she says slight... her friends are trying to find ways to trick her into not having a book set in Scotland.

You'll often find Skye bribing herself into writing words using cake and tea, but whatever works, right?

Whether they're set in space (Scottish space, obviously), fantasy worlds (Scottish fantasy worlds, obviously), or Scotland, Skye's tales are full of magic, romance and adventure. Oh and unicorns.

I read this series in the box sets. I have been drawn in and become attached to the characters and their stories. I know that I'll be reading all 3 books again. Found the storyline exciting, and refreshing. I would highly recommend these books! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wow...what an interesting and unique set of books. The story of a woman trying her best to remain alive on Mars after her companions have all died. A seemingly realistic, non-diluted account of her isolation and struggles. Thoroughly enjoyed this set of books. Highly recommended!!! I love this set! I love the originality of the story line, I love Louise and all her men, I love the emotional roller-coaster and the realistic feel (aside from the Mars thing obviously) of the whole thing. I highly recommend it!

They are stranded in mars. One woman and six men. How will they survive such a hostile environment? Can they find each other? Could bring a team help? See how they get on through three great stories. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I reviewed the first two books separately, so when I was asked to review the collection I jumped at the chance. Alone I immediately liked Louise. What a situation to be in especially with all the troubles on Earth. I’m not sure with all the problems on Earth why the scientists hadn’t left her on her own. Perhaps that will come out as the story progresses. The story promises to be a good series. My only complaint? The book is too short. I am definitely looking forward to the next installment. Hidden This series has become one of my favorites. I enjoyed Louise in the first book and she is only more real in the second. The men are not who she imagined them and it is taking a bit for her to reconcile with that. Earth has finally lost contact with them. It took longer than I expected but wasn’t a surprise. I do wish these books were a little longer, but they are well written. Found This is the conclusion to the series and like the others, I enjoyed it very much. There is something truly special about Louise and I didn’t want to miss out on the chance to read the ending. Her men are super special too. I definitely recommend this series. I originally read each of these stories when they were released individually. This series is so original and great! Each story is a short novella, so I was excited to see that they were released boxed together. Louise is stranded alone on the Mars colony after an outbreak kills the rest of the people. Additional workers were sent and she needs to figure out how to ensure they don’t get sick and how they will survive when disaster cuts them off from Earth. Louise needs to deal with the mental health aspects of being stranded so long. Each of the guys are unique. These story have surprising and realistic twists, and while in the end they are happy they do need to work for it.

“The Mars Diaries” is a trilogy of short stories about a woman named Louise. Louise was part of a Mars colony, but everyone else died. Earth is going through its own catastrophe at the same time. Before the catastrophe on Earth started, a shuttle was sent to Mars with six new colonists, all men. It’s up to Louise to protect them from the virus, but Louise has been alone so long she is starting to go crazy. As the story continues, Louise and the men form relationships and survive on Mars, even after communications from Earth stop. But there is danger on Mars, a danger that none of them could have ever suspected. Will they all live through it? “The Mars Diaries” is a very interesting RH dystopian trilogy, with an unexpected (at least to me) ending.

Mars - The Ultimate Test by Michelle S The Mars Diaries The complete trilogy plus an exclusive short story Skye MacKinnon I thought these books were great. They were a little short - but they were novellas so that was to be expected. I loved that the whole trilogy was in a box set so I could read them all at once so that made it a little better. I think Louise was a strong character that did what she needed to do in order to survive being stranded alone on mars after the virus wiped out her crew. She was resourceful and amazing. The world that Skye MacKinnon took us to was full of wonder and imagination that let us see a different universe that we might one day see in a few generations.
