Cleaster Whitehurst-Mims, a sharecropper's daughter, was born in Enterprise, Alabama. She is an extraordinary and innovative educator, political activist, founder and chief executive office of the Cleaster Mims International Boarding School (1990-2010), author, and philanthropist.
