About the Author
Dieu Thi Vo was born and raised in Ha Tinh. At the age of seven, she and her parents moved to the South and settled in Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen. At the age of 16, she went to Hue to study. In 1972, she returned to Tuy Hoa and taught at Nguyen Hue Tuy Hoa High School. In 1981, through God's arrangement, she and her family fled the border and lived in the Pu Lau Bi Dong, Sungei Besi, and Bataan refugee camps. They settled in the US in 1982.
