Everyone loves a wedding.
You don't want to read something dry and droll. You want to read something smart and funny. Something you can laugh out loud to.
"The Wedding Video" melts the most subversive comedies ever written into one manic concoction of love and lust. Peopled with wannabe mafiosi, this intriguing farce pits a young man on the rise against the don who wants to bed his fiance on their wedding day.
One mistaken identity after another. Switchbacks, fallbacks and fall guys. Half turns and half wits. Double and triple entendres. All in the space of one mad day.
"The Wedding Video" is a riotous comedy screenplay. It's a sparkling, dizzying take on tripping up the ruling elite.
Will young Figaro get one up on the bombastic Don Almaviva?

'I think screenplays are the literature of the future. We all live our lives increasingly through screens, so why don’t we write for the screen. For "The Wedding Video" I developed a screenplay style beyond the current American model. It’s a mix of English, Italian, and Japanese, with a dash of the early silents and newsreels. It simplifies the technical parameters so it’s easier for you to read. A lot easier. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I had writing it.' Stefano Boscutti

This screen play is based on the Marriage of Figaro and all the elements of that fantastic Opera are here but the author sets this version in Modern times and the Family is a Mafia Mob family so the stakes are higher and the 'goings on' are sillier than ever. I cannot begin to explain how funny The Wedding Video is because there is just too much hilarious stuff going on at once. This is true of the Opera as well and it too is a satire but this is far more amusing in my opinion.
