Cocteau's short work, published anonymously by the author (who never admitted to writing it; just providing some pictures), was translated by Austryn Wainhouse.

This is the tale of a young man coming to grips with his own sexuality, seeking shelter in the church, and finally, in the land of Cambaceres, coming to terms with his own desires.
