Third Time Lucky is the first book in the Coxwell series. This is an interesting read as it is written in the first person. Phillip Coxwell talks to herself with interesting results when she answers herself. She is an interesting combination of vulnerability and toughness. Vulnerable because she still carries a torch for Nick Sullivan, her high school flame, who after fifteen years turns up on her door step asking for help. How can she resist. Tough because she chartered her own course defying her father's goals for her and becoming a garden designer instead of a lawyer. Nick asks for and receives Phillipa's help, interesting and surprising events occur and they live happily ever after. Take this to the beach this summer its a quick fun read. If the brothers stories are written in the same light humorous way I look forward to reading the series. Copy gifted by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

WOW!!! I had the best time reading this book and I could not put it down until I found out what happened!!!! Nick shows up on Philippa's doorstep after 15 years away and from there the sparks fly. Philippa does not want to be burned again, but Nick needs her help. The characters are well written as is the story. I will definitely be reading more by this author and in this series!!! ***Copy gifted by the publisher in exchange for an honest review***

This was a sweet, fun, heartwarming story. I found it hard to put down. Even though it was a quick read, the main characters really communicated in depth, which impressed me. Set in the present, Philippa and Nick knew each other 15 years ago when they were in school. Nick left town and is returning at his grandmother's request. A mystery follows and Nick asks Philippa for help. This is the first book in a series and I am eager to read the next book. Copy gifted by the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.

"Third Time Lucky" is a lovely story about Phillippa Coxwell and Nicholas Sullivan. These two were friends in high school and meet again 15 years later. They find out things about themselves and each other that they never knew in their earlier relationship and find out how much they have grown from they kids that they were. Phillippa and Nicholas are both strong and adventurous characters. The story is good and the flow of the book is generally good overall. I look forward to reading the other books in the series to see how the other characters introduced in the story develop as well. Copy gifted by the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Philippa Coxwell, against the wishes of her family and against all the odds of failure, opened her own garden landscaping business. On the very night when she and her partner were celebrating the business moving into the black, a blast from the past appeared on her front porch in the person of Nicholas Sullivan. He was the town “bad boy” who had stolen her heart and encouraged her to follow her dream 15 years before. The twists and turns of the plot from that point on kept me glued to the story – to see where these increasingly fascinating characters were going to end up. The dialogue was fun, fresh and quirky. “You have got to be the most irritating man I’ve ever known, and I have three brothers to offer serious competition for that honor.” This is the first book I have read from this author – but it certainly won’t be the last! I can’t wait to see what happens to the Coxwell family next. “Copy gifted by the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.”

It starts a little slow getting in the background information....but hang in there! A funny mystery and love story. Gotta love the crazy family too, in comparison I guess mine's not that bad :) Copy gifted by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Loved it! This story is a wonderful blend of a slowly revealed mystery and a heartfelt romance between two people who are grabbing hold of their second chance. Deborah Cooke is one of my favorite authors and she does not disappoint! Copy gifted by the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.
