Overview

Misty Pennebaker came to Eden's Ridge to escape a painful past and find a new beginning. She's built a life surrounded by beauty, with her gift shop showcasing local artisans and her work as the only florist in town. Contented with her shop and her dog, the last thing she's looking for is a relationship. Especially one with the gorgeous, tattooed biker who works at the tavern down the street.

Denver Hershal has been aware of Misty since she showed up in town three years ago. Aware, and interested. But he doesn't have time for more than running his bar, tinkering with his vintage motorcycle, and riding herd on his pup--or so he tells himself. No matter how much his heart races whenever he's near her. Besides, why would a beautiful, modern-day flower child want anything to do with a rough-around-the-edges bar owner?

When his bartender cooks up a matchmaking scheme to put Denver in Misty's orbit, he's surprised at how much he has in common with her--including their mutual tendency to want to leave the past in the past and keep it private. But what will happen when Misty's private past is revealed, and clashes painfully with the things Denver's tried to put behind him?

*A shorter version of this book was originally published as Once Upon A Wedding. It has been expanded into a full novella.

The extended story of Denver and Misty was a pleasure to read. Even though I read the shorter version I truly enjoyed this extension of their story and to see their true love blossom and overcome the obstacles of life. Great job I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love this story. I read it as a short story and was really excited when the author turned it into a full novella. These characters feel very real to me, and it’s an emotional story. I recommend it!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

ARC for honest review with no compensation received from BookSprout Til There Was You is book 1.5 novella in the Misfit Inn series by Kait Nolan. I read the short version called Once Upon A Wedding a long time ago. Love this updated and extended version about Misty and Denver! Two people who are working together for one of their friend’s wedding but an attraction between them makes them both look inside at the feelings they have but have never acted upon them. Will these two find a way to connect, open their hearts and put all the traumas from their past in the past and make a future together??

I loved this Misfit Inn novella! Free spirited florist Misty does not seem like the type that gruff, tatted bar owner Denver would go for. But he’s been crushing on her since he came to town. Who could have predicted a wedding would bring them together. While short in length, Til There Was You is filled with fun, love and joy...exactly how I feel about all Kait Nolan’s books, and how a great romance story should be written. A definite must read for old fans and new readers!

I first met Misty and Denver in Once Upon a Wedding. This newer, longer version is definitely better. I love The Misfit Inn series and will be sad when Kait Nolan has told all these stories. I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina and always imagine Eden's Ridge as just being over the state line from me (that's about 25 miles). Misty is me in my younger days - hippy-like and free flowing. Denver is an artist who doesn't know he is one. They make a perfect couple but who would think that looking at Denver? Few know his artistic talents. Most, including Misty to start, think of him as just a bar owner. Misty doesn't even think that to start. She thinks he is just a bartender. The fast track romance in Til There Was You will keep you turning pages so pick up a copy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Till there was you Kait gave us a peek of two of her minor charters in one of her main series. I enjoyed Misty and Denver love story. It was a fun fast read, perfect for a cold snowy day. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I like Kait Nolan stories. The longer books are my favorite, but the short stories are just as good. You can read this one without reading any of the others as it stands alone. Denver and Misty's story is a feel good story that I loved! I hope there are more to come from Eden's Ridge. I love the way the author builds small towns. The characters are great and she makes me want to move in too! I received an advance copy an am voluntarily leaving a review.

I had the opportunity to read the original and I think I love this version even more. This was completely adorable. A quick read filled with awe-worthy moments and some thought provoking situations. Misty and Denver may look like opposites but they're living proof that opposites attract. Both of them have some big emotional baggage that they've been trying to escape, and together they just might be the solution to each others problems. I loved the chance to see Kennedy and Xander's wedding, but it's still not enough to tide me over until the author's next release. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.

Another winner from Kait Nolan!!! Misty and Denver's story is one I love from beginning to end. It's always great to visit Eden's Ridge and the cast of characters that live there. This series never disappoints and this expanded version from Once Upon A Wedding makes you fall in love with the characters, the town and the series! A definite 5 stars from me!

Denver and Misty make such a cute couple. I loved how they were so awkward around each other at first. It was sweet. I also loved that the book advocated for rescuing dogs, especially seniors. Of course, the love that bloomed between Oscar and Moxie was especially sweet. I found it humorous when Denver told Misty he had to make things right between them or Oscar would never forgive him. As always Kait Nolan has written a book that I highly recommend reading. The story is well-written, the characters have depth, and the story kept me engaged from beginning to end. I recommend you buy your copy today.

Denver owns the bar but does woodworking on the side. He doesn’t want it as his full time job. He just wants to make things that are special to. Several years ago, Misty came to town and opened a florist shop. Denver has been fascinated by Misty since she got to town. But he is to shy to do anything about it. When Kennedy, one of his bartenders, starts planning her wedding, decides to see if she can and Cayla, her wedding planner can find some way to get the two together. Misty and Denver, and their dogs, hit is off but then Misty talks about her past and Denver has trouble being able to accept her prior career because of the circumstances surrounding his father’s death. Can they work things out? Not only do Misty and Denver miss each other but their dogs are not happy either. Will everyone finally have a happily ever after? I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. A very enjoyable fun romantic read. There ups and downs between the main characters that make the story interesting. I would definitely recommend

Loved the matchmaking friends - so sly. Misty and Denver have know each other for awhile but have not moved past casual conversation until.... Opposites definitely attract with these two but they really were the perfect fit for each other. There was a bit of a bump in the road in their relationship but friends to the rescue and some eye opening brought about reconciliation. The ending was really sweet. When a story by Ms. Nolan comes across my hands, the to do list is forgotten, and all I want to do is get lost in the story. This one once again proved my point. This time the story centers around Misty Pennebaker and Denver Hershal. Denver is the local bar owner who since the day Misty moved into town, has been enchanted by her, but never really talked to her. Misty is the owner of the flower shop in town. A woman that reminds him of the yesterday days, with flowers on her head, and flowing dresses. But it isn’t until they are asked to work together for a friend’s wedding, that they start a friendship and maybe more. These two have a heartbreaking past that has molded them to whom they are today. Will it keep them apart and have them miss out the chance of finding their HEA or will they realize that overcoming those doubts are worth the prize? With an engaging plot, and complex characters, the author once again manages to touch our hearts and mind. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Booksprout. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
