## STELLAR. As always, Ms. Eden has impressed me with the suspense of this book. It was top notch for sure. For some reason I had thought Wade had been married. I'm so thrilled to report there was no dead wife in his past. There was a girl he cared for that was killed, ergo his job with LOST. Wade and Victoria had great chemistry. They were good for each other. I only wish that we could see a little bit of something besides fear in these heroines. Other than that, this was another brilliant read by Cynthia Eden. Can't wait for her next story.

Cynthia never disappoints. Another nail biting suspense worthy of the LOST series. Victoria Palmer, forensic expert for the Last Option Search Team (LOST), has been the victim of both her father and a suspect, and carries a deep, dark secret. She keeps her secret and stays to herself. So when she and Wade Monroe are assigned to a missing person case in Savannah, she fights her attraction to this man who wants to know her better. The sex with him is great but the closer he gets, the more she worries he’s in danger—from her. Wade Monroe has been attracted to Victoria for quite some time but when he saw her closed up in a body bag and covered in blood, he feared losing her forever so he’s determined to make her his. He knows she’s attracted to him but something—something dark and fearful—is keeping her from opening up to him and giving in to her heart. Their mission is to follow-up on a woman who disappeared five years ago. Her boyfriend has never given up hope that Kennedy is still alive somewhere but if she isn’t, he needs to know so he can move on with his life. When Victoria and Wade start looking into things once more, it stirs things up just as another girl goes missing. Are the two connected and when Kennedy’s decomposed body turns up right where she disappeared, is this a message to Victoria and Wade? When the killer starts communicating with Victoria and her alone, he tells her he knows her secret but if she trades herself for the missing girl, they can play together. Wade is not going to let anything happen to Victoria, now or ever. TORN by Cynthia Eden is edge of your seat, nail biting intense suspense that will have you turning the pages eager to find out what happens next and who the bad guy is—and Cynthia doesn’t disappoint. As usual, her LOST characters are intriguing, carrying deep dark secrets, and sexy as hell—Wade and Victoria steam up the pages. The men are protective and in charge, but the women aren’t shrinking violets, not by a long shot. Action packed, the mystery abounds, and Victoria adds a level of angst and introversion that makes you want to reach into the book and hug her. She carries such guilt, remorse, anger, and a need for someone to love her that she is as much a victim as the missing women. Wade is the man to do the job though and do it well. Both broken and guilt ridden, they come together to help each other and that makes this story so much more satisfying even beyond the engrossing mystery. I highly recommend TORN, book four in the LOST series by Cynthia Eden to absolutely everyone who enjoys a good thriller. As with all of the books in this series, I do recommend starting from the beginning and reading them in order but each can easily be read as a standalone. But please…just read them. This is one of the best series out there and I hope it continues for a long time. TORN rocks! If I were giving stars, I'd give it double. ***purchased for my own personal reading but sharing my honest and unscripted review.

Torn reminds me of Criminal Minds, but so much better. Cynthia Eden one upped the T.V. show by adding a steamy romance between the two main characters. And instead of profiling serial killers, the LOST team investigate and try to find people who have vanished. I have only three regrets after reading Torn, and that’s that I haven't read the first three books in the Lost series. I will be correcting that very soon. Torn is an awesome story and the characters, Victoria and Wade, are deliciously swoon-worthy. Victoria is a forensic anthropologist, and when it comes to profiling the dead, Victoria is the best. Wade is an ex-homicide detective who is the best at following leads. Both work for LOST (The Last Option Search Team). Gade, the ex-SEAL (who is Wade’s best friend) is the mastermind who started LOST. It’s a team that helps people find their loved ones after they’ve vanished when the police can’t, or the missing person’s case goes cold. The LOST team is who you call when it's your last hope. Now that you got the basic understanding of what the LOST Team do, lets get to Victoria and Wade's romance; partners who become friends and then lovers. Victoria had horrible childhood, with a father who took her mother away from her as a child and promised Victoria she would be next. Victoria believed her father’s lies, so the only way she knew how to keep from becoming like her father was to keep her distance from people. That means there’s no way she’ll ever fall in love. Love to Victoria is the root of all evil. But Wade knows Victoria has secrets and he wants to know them, along with being with the beautiful woman he loves and wants. Victoria knows to keep the sexy, ex-cop as far away from her as possible. Wade is trouble—handsome, dangerous trouble that puts her on edge. The man makes her feel where she’d become numb. Wade knows Victoria has secrets, but he also sees the pain in her eyes and he wants to know those secrets that hurt her and causes her pain, the pain he wants to take from her. So when Gade partners Victoria and Wade together on a case to find a college student that’s been missing for five years, Wade is ready to have his chance to be get close to Victoria. He just didn't think that the woman he’s been wanting to give his heart to would make him an offer of “partners with benefits” only. Wade and Victoria's romance is sexy, fun with their arrangement, but it's also a beautiful, touch-your-heart love. Torn is a fantastic, intense suspense crime story with steamy romance. I loved every minute of Wade and Victoria's hot romance and their professional skills to solve the mystery of the missing and catch the bad guy. I highly recommend it as a must read, but also recommend that you read the first three books before Torn.

One of my favorite series of hers so far has been her Lost series. I think it's because of the whole idea of the series. I like the fact that they work so hard to find those who others have given up on. Not only is this a great series, Eden has a way of writing hero's that make you want to be lost (I'm thinking you're sitting at Starbucks waiting to be found) and them to find you. Hot, tough sexy hero's! I love them all of course Jax from Shattered is still my favorite. Shh...don't tell Wade. Not to worry, you'll love Wade too. He's a great guy who stands for those in need. He also doesn't realize what a great guy he is. Makes him even more warm and fuzzy. He's the type of guy that makes you jealous of the heroine. Of course in Torn the hero is pretty special herself. She has spent so much of her life giving to others to prove she's better then her father. Right away you know she's way better. At times you wonder if these two will be able to finally get together and have their happily-ever-after... ...only to learn that some strings are meant to be tied. Torn is book #4 in the Lost Series and that might give you pause. I wouldn't want to read this series out of order. Even though in Torn you only have mention of most of the other agents. I find that it just makes for a better story to really understand all the Lost agents. ARC received for a honest review

A great new read from Cynthia Eden, and an addition to her LOST series. Romantic suspense at its best. [ Ms. Eden excels in this new book, TORN, part of her LOST series. Once again she creates twists and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat while you try to figure out the “whodunit” in this fast-paced book. And let’s not forget the bedroom scenes heating up the pages. Our main characters--both members of LOST (Last Option Search Team)--are Wade and Victoria. Wad is an ex-cop and good friend of Gabe, the founder of LOST. Victoria is a forensic anthropologist. LOST is where people go when all resources have given up on the “lost”. In this case, LOST investigates the disappearance of a graduate student, one who’s been missing for five years. When they go to the university where she was studying, another disappearance occurs .The body of the first student shows up, creating more questions than answers. In addition to this plotline, we also have the chemistry between Viki (Victoria) and Wade. They both have deep secrets that could change how others, as well as themselves, perceive each other. Ms. Eden makes us realize that things are not always black and white. Life is about shades of gray. Who are we to judge what someone does when we have not experienced their devastation? This is definitely an emotionally challenging story to read, but one worth the rollercoaster ride! Kudos to Ms Eden. Other books in this series (Broken, Twisted and Shattered) are just as good . All standalone . I received this book from the publisher for an honest review.

4.5 stars-- TORN is the fourth book in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult LOST romantic suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for L.O.S.T. (Last Option Search Team). This is LOST agent Wade Monroe, and forensic anthropologist Victoria Palmer’s story line. TORN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Told from several third person points of view TORN focuses on the hunt for a missing woman. Five years earlier twenty two year old college student Kennedy Lane went missing during an early morning jog and was never heard from again. With the anniversary of her disappearance looming, her former boyfriend approached the LOST organization in the hopes of some closure-one way or another. Enter LOST investigator Wade Monroe, and forensic anthropologist Victoria Palmer-two people with dark secrets of their own. What ensues is the search for Kennedy Lane, and the discovery that two more people have been targeted by the psychotic killer. The relationship between Wade and Victoria has been building for throughout the series. Victoria is a woman withdrawn and quiet whose past is mired in murder and abuse. Wade is the man who hopes to uncover Victoria’s secrets, and in doing so reveal a little more about himself. The $ex scenes are intimate, seductive and hot. The world building continues to focus on the search for missing people. Most of the cases are cold wherein the original investigation is no longer active. L.O.S.T. is recruited by family members and friends of the missing, to add some closure to their grief and loss. Two new potential LOST agents have been recruited to the team. TORN is a suspense filled story line with so many twist and turns it is impossible to determine the guilty party. At one point I thought I solved the crime then BAM !! something or someone else jumps into the line of fire. Cynthia Eden writes an intriguing tale of murder, obsession and mystery. The premise is engaging, dramatic and entertaining-you will not want to put down the book. The characters are real, flawed and passionate. The romance is captivating and emotional.
