Overview

Alexander Bryant has lived his entire life making everyone else happy. After meeting Lincoln, will he have the courage to finally do what makes him happy?

Alexander – I like to imagine myself a rebel – an ass-kicker that takes what he wants regardless of what others think. I make my own path and flip off the people who don't agree. I laugh in the face of conflict. Nobody tells me what to do.
In reality, everything about me is a lie – past, present, and future. The Bryant name requires certain things and all my decisions are based on those requirements. I like football, but the family name demands I love it. I want to be an artist, but the family name demands I be a lawyer. The family demands I fall in love with a nice girl, but I'm falling for, well, the opposite of nice AND girl. I'm a coward and a liar.

Lincoln – I like to imagine myself a loner – a cold heartless bastard that takes what he wants. I lived the biggest part of my life with parents that were ashamed of me for more reasons that one could begin to count, so I trust no one.
I have a low tolerance for bullshit and hate liars. So why did I go and fall in love with the biggest liar of them all?

T.S. McKinney was a new author to me with this book, Touchdown, but I can tell you that this will definitely not be my last. I liked the pacing, the story, the writing and the way the book flowed overall was fantastic. Alexander Bryant seemed to have everything - he comes from a wealthy family, is quarterback of the football team and has a beauty pageant girlfriend - but what they say about looks being deceiving is definitely the case. While he does love football, he doesn't love that his family has his life after college laid out for him, including attending Harvard Law School and when he lays eyes on Lincoln Montgomery, he realizes that his love of painting might not be his only hidden secret. Lincoln Montgomery always gets what he wants. There isn't anything in his life these days that he leaves to chance and he does that by controlling both his life in and out of the bedroom after things in his past have forced him to watch out for himself in every aspect. When a normal night at his club is turned on its head by the appearance of Alexander, nothing in Lincoln's life may ever be the same. Will both of these men be able to overcome their fears to pursue what could be growing between them? And, will Alexander be able to take control of his life and start living for himself and not for others? I enjoyed this book beyond measure and could not have been happier with the way that things worked out in the end. There was a good mix of humor, emotion and hotness in this book to hook me from the outset. Kudos to the author for a fantastic story!

Alexander AKA Alex & Lincoln meet when Alex follows a friend to Lincoln's club. He is shocked and turned on at what he sees there. When he gets to meet the owner, his life changes. Lincoln has waited to have a relationship like this. Can he count on feelings to be real? They keep treating it as just a fling. Feelings are there and are fanning the flames. Surprised this story had so much emotion to it, I found myself riveted to these pages. Both men were really not looking to connect at all, but in each other they found so much more. Sweet and sexy, this story makes you want more. ***This ARC copy was given by Netgalley and its publishers in exchange for an honest review.
