A girl named Ashlyn was in a car accident with her mom. Her mom died and she is having flashbacks of the accident and also is seeing ahead of her. She is driving in the car with her friend Kyra and she's freaking out on her. So Kyra takes her home with her and is trying to help her through school and with her life. Her dad moved to Michigan when they were little and left her and her mom so she doesn't talk to him. She decides to live with her best friend Kyra. in my book is one of the best selling author's in New York City. Linda Gerber in my opinion is a very good author she pulls readers in and makes you want to read the book more. Also she uses very descriptive words which are awesome. I really like this book. It uses very descriptive words and pulls you into the book and makes you want to read more. That is why I like this book. This was a great book!!! Especially for people who love mystery's. Also if you like good quotes or phrases it has a lot of those in it. Overall this book was a really good book. Especially because it's good if someone has ever been in a car accident and lost someone or something. It is one of the best books I've read yet and I recommend it to anyone who loves intense explanation book!!

Trance is one book that captivated me. Ashyln's character not only seemed real but one that you can relate with right away. Ashlyn's life has been tough. After a bad car accident, her family is torn apart. Left with dealing with her powers on her own, she must overcome the guilt and fear she has in order to save someone she loves. Ashlyn has been though so much after the accident. She tries to be strong and move on, but the guilt of the night that happen plays into her mind over and over again. She does anything and everything to get her mind off it. She is alone. I hated that she is alone. She needed someone. Even though they blamed her for the accident, Ashyln needed guidance as well. I was upset that her father didn't take more care for than what he did. The way the love part played out with her visions was perfect. I loved how it all tied in with the car accident. That I did not see coming at all. I was totally shocked and just awed. When you read the story, you only her Ashyln's POV. After reading the ending and how it truly panned out I understood. The love between Jake and Ashyln is real and true. I like how she did not allow the car accident affect how she felt about Jake. She loved him no matter what happen. True love. It always fixes everything.

This book was OK. The characters were well thought out. I didn't really connect with them though. I enjoyed reading it, but do not remember all the details. Because they didn't stick with me. But it has a good plot and chain of events.

This was such a quick fun read. I flew through it in about half a day. Ashlyn is dealing with the death of her mother. Her sister, who she has always be so close to, took off as soon as it happened. Now Ashlyn is alone in the house with only her father, who stays locked away in his office or at work. She's trying to get back to her regular routine, working, etc., but suddenly the trances are back. Can she prevent the death this time? I had originally gave this book a 5 rating, but having read it recently, I find that I'm already forgetting most of it and had to refresh my memory just to begin this review. Since it was so forgettable, I had to take it down to a 4. The romance was very sweet and developed in a very natural way, which is something I really look for in YA anymore. The reason behind Ashlyn's trances was explained very well and was really unique to me. I loved the kooky pregnant girl that Ashlyn works at the photo place in the mall. She was probably my favorite part of the book. Overall, this was a entertaining read, and very enjoyable. I was able to dive through it no time and it was a great way to send a few hours. Also, while this book is definitely YA, it's also great for MG as well. It's very clean and touches on learning to deal with lose and learning to find yourself.

The car accident left her mom dead and Ashlyn hurt mentally because she believes with her visions combined with that of her sister Kyra she could have prevented the tragedy. She looks back to growing up when she and her sibling learned to hide their cursed trances and the number they would write down. Meanwhile Kyra has cut Ashlyn off, which leaves the latter believing more so she failed her mom and her family. Her father buries himself at work, which leaves Ashlyn feeling further isolated. She feels completely alone despite her efforts to connect with her father and find her sister. Unable to relate when Jake wants to know her better, Ashlyn goes deeper into her shell. Co-worker, Gina tutors her on numerology, which Ashlyn hopes will enable her to interpret the vision and prevent another tragedy as she sees another car accident occurring this time to Jake. This is an exciting but strange tale as the siblings slowly come to somewhat understand their visions and the numbers they write down while in a Trance. Pathos filled Ashlyn makes the teen tale terrific with her intense struggle to comprehend what the number denote. Character driven, young adult readers will empathize with Ashlyn who blames herself for her failure to interpret her vision in time to save her mom's life and hope she can this time with Jake on the line. there's a major hole in the story that's impossible to ignore once you get to it and the writing's kind of stiff.
