In Balancing in Heels, Kristin Cavallari shared her personal journey along with her tips on everything from style to relationships. And now, with her instant New York Times bestseller True Roots, Cavallari shows you that improving the way you eat doesn’t have to be difficult—a clean and toxin-free diet can and should be fun, easy, and enjoyable. She learned the hard way that dieting leads nowhere good, and that a clean lifestyle is the ticket to feeling and being healthy.
So how does Kristin eat? Organic as much as possible, wild-caught fish, grass-fed beef, fresh fruits and vegetables, and nothing white—no white flour, sugar, or salt. She avoids anything heavily processed and anything that has been stripped of natural nutrients. She maintains a lifestyle free of toxic chemicals and is passionate about creating delicious and hearty food from real ingredients. She wants her food to be true, as close to its natural state as possible.
Her recipes—green banana muffins, bison and veggie kabobs, and even zucchini almond butter blondies—are proof that a healthy lifestyle isn’t boring or bland. Feed yourself real food and see how much better you feel, both mentally and physically.

I LOVE this cookbook. Received it as a gift and this is 3rd copy I am buying for a friend. Recipes are delicious for quick nutritious meals. Adults and picky teens loved zucchini blondes taken to pass along with a copy of the cookbook for a busy mom. Buy a copy for yourself and a friend
Like most, I follow Kristin on Instagram and eagerly awaited this book! Now that I have it, I honestly love this book. I had it only a day and whipped up the shrimp scallop linguine with vegetables for a family dinner and I got rave reviews. I just wish it had more pictures to make sure that I am doing things the right way. Otherwise, this is a good book. I'd also recommend that people buy, or even request it at your local library, Chef Jai Scovers' book called "Simple, Healthy and Delicious." "Simple, Healthy, and Delicious" was on sale here on BN when I bought it and is filled with easy recipes to feed your entire family. My daughter is two and she can be a fussy eater at times. Not when I make something from that book like the skillet or the pound cake french toast. It even has a recipe for Forbidden Rice that will make you never want to eat plain rice again. Buy it!
