Under The Blue Rainbow
"No end without a beginning."
That was the final prayer of Abraham, leader of the Morningstar army, and the last hope of humanity to end the cataclysmic Dawn War that, as of the year 2150, had raged for four generations. His only chance was averting the apocalypse before it began.
The beginning was 2035 A.D., two years before the start of the Dawn War.
Robert Morgan, a young drifter studying magic and the sword as a means to kill his personal demons, both figurative and literal, is recruited by Abe MacAllister, octogenarian former guardian of truth and justice and namesake ancestor of the Morningstar commander. They share a common goal, to destroy Kikiba, the demon who killed Robert's parents and kidnapped his brother. Abe imprisoned her thirty years earlier, but only Robert's brother, Father David Morgan, is capable of banishing her for all time. Accompanied by Abe's serpentine daughter, Abby, they investigate David's disappearance and discover a trail of destiny littered with old enemies and new insights into a past that could destroy Robert's soul and jeopardize the future of all mankind.
